Stage one of my Hexy MF is complete. Something around 500 hexagons are in this bit and more will come on the finished quilt. Modelled on Katy's genius Hexy MF, my version is made of Lakehouse Annie's Farm Stand Paris Tea Panel print from Eternal Maker and lots of Oakshotts - but mainly the sunrise bundle which is, for my money, one of the best-bundles-ever out there. I could make quilts and quilts from this bundle and possibly will.
The next stage is to applique the whole shebang to a background fabric then add stems and leaves and flowers using needle turn applique which I've never done before so it could go downhill from here. As you can see from the photo, we have had most of the possible weather systems today - sun, rain, hail, rainbow, wind, torrential rain and a bit more rain as well.
It's stunning - just the thing to brighten a dull May day!
