My week on Instagram

This week I had a fabulous weekend working at the Uttoxeter quilt show on the Oakshott stand with Michael Oakshott who was a lot of fun to work with.  And of course it's always a joy to be surrounded by all those beautiful fabrics and quilts.

Then yesterday the new issue of Love Patchwork & Quilting arrived, chock full of lovely projects as usual.  Those included: my Gardenvale quilt and pillow.  I love this line from Jen Kingwell for Moda and loved making this quilt with a really scrappy feel.  I had no back big enough for the quilt so made a "fat quarter back" with FQs sashed with what yardage I did have!

My quilt made from Suffolk Garden for Dashwood Studio and my BOM made from Mimosa for Wyndham Fabrics were also in this issue.
My four faves from this issue were made by Christine Tepsick,

And finally this morning, I received my much-awaited copy of Lynn Harris' book Every Last Piece.  I've been browsing this over my coffee and it is packed full of beautiful scrap quilts but I will be reviewing this book properly in the blog in a few days' time because this is one that is too good to miss, especially if you're a fan of scrap quilts.
