I'm teaching in Derbyshire!

For anyone within hitting distance of Cromford in Derbyshire, I'm going to have a fun day teaching this union jack pillow at Quiltessential on 13 March 2014.  You'll learn how to foundation paper piece the  pillow top, then, time permitting, we'll quilt, back, bind and finish the pillow and you'll take home the pattern to finish it anyway.  You will also get a bonus pattern to make a quilt using this block pattern.  Only 8 places available in the class so book early to avoid disappointment.

Quiltessential is situated in a beautiful old mill setting, there's easy parking, and, for my money, Ann and Daren who run the shop are the nicest local quilt shop owners you can find.  Always friendly, always chatty and a shop full of fabulous fabrics as well as everything else you need to make a quilt.

To book a place, email Ann on annmayner@quiltessential.co.uk.  The course runs from 10am to 4pm, costs just £30 and, from having been to classes there before, you'll get a lovely warm welcome as well as hot drinks and biscuits through the day.  If you book, I'd love to know so please leave a comment on this post or email me on lilysquilts@gmail.com so I can make sure I give you an extra big welcome when you arrive!

  1. I will have to check out this shop next time we are in Derbyshire - my husband was brought up in the deepest darkest Peak and we go back occasionally to check out his old stomping ground and see the many rafts in driveways ready for the Boxing Day Raft Race. I hadn't heard of Quintessential before so many thanks for the tip off!
