New lines from Andover and Makower

Since I've been working with Makower, designing quilts for their new lines, they've been sending me packs of samples of their and Andover's new lines which, as a fabricaholic is like Christmas coming every so often.  The line I've been most eagerly awaiting, Downtown Abbey, does not disappoint.  This photo shows just a small fraction of the prints which are all reproduction prints from the Edwardian era.

Polka is a lovely rainbow selection of dots from Makower.

Pearly Bracelets are probably one of the best blenders ever designed (by Lizzie House) and Andover seem to be bringing out more and more colours in response to demand.

Just For Fun for Andover would make a very cute new baby or toddler quilt.

And finally I picked this one lovely print from Jungle by Makower which I fell in love with.

  2. Downtown Abbey - yes - love those purples - wonder how they'd work in a real modern design quilt?

  3. DowntownAbbey is the first line of the more traditional looking prints that I've lusted after! Truely! I adore all these purples! I have a pattern using applique which I thought I'd like to try in these but I'm scared! I would love to see what you make with yours! Would you share? Please, please, please? ;-)

  9. Love the new Edwardian Downton Abbey range you have shown! They are SOOO my colours. I have purposely not bought any fabric except absolute bare necessities for a whole year, so maybe that will see me break my resolutions. ;-)
