Jeepers, is it really September? In the UK that means back to school after the six week summer holiday. Sad for some parents, relief for others... And goodbye to August, supposedly the hottest month of the year here in the UK but it's been one of the the wettest summers on record :-( Since I spent most of the summer slowly sewing together small EPP pieces, I have NOTHING to show for August except this union jack quilt top which I finished yesterday as a trial for my Jack Attack (a quilt along, if anyone is interested).
What about you? What have you worked on this month? Any finishes? Maybe a mosaic of everything you've been doing? One favourite thing? Link up at the bottom of this post to share what you've been working on. If you do link up, how about visiting at least four of the other blogs who link up - two above you and two below you - and stopping to leave a comment as well as visiting back anyone who visits you. As always here's the button to grab:
<div align="center"><a href="http://lilysquilts.blogspot.com/" title="Lily's Quilts"><img src="http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7067/6941768177_69cfa10c8f_m.jpg" alt="Lily's Quilts" style="border:none;" /></a></div>
And link up in the second linky if you are a blog with fewer than 50 followers and would like to get to know a few more people out there in blogland. Write a post about this feature, add this button and then link up.
<div align="center"><a href="http://lilysquilts.blogspot.com/" title="Lily's Quilts"><img src="http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7069/6941827867_47a1264625_m.jpg" alt="Lily's Quilts" style="border:none;" /></a></div>
Next go and visit and get to know at least four other linked blogs - starting with the two above you in the linkys and the two below you. Visit those blogs, leave a comment, click to follow and visit that blog regularly over the next few weeks. Visit more if you have the time. And also visit back any new bloggers who come to visit you and get to know them and their blogs.
I like the muted colour palette you used for this
ReplyDeleteLove that UJ quilt!
ReplyDeleteThe weather has been awful hasn't it! I think the only really hot days were the ones when I had to finish quilting my niece's quilt, which was not nice!

ReplyDeleteThat is such an awesome photo with your Union Jack!
ReplyDeleteEven though I'm still American I love the UJ so much better - no stars!!! Your work is awesome and makes me so embarrassed as we started around the same time and you have children (mine are grown) and look at all you have done and I've done nothing. You should be really proud of you.
ReplyDeleteHi Lynne! Came across your blog from made by Mary. Wondering if you could be so kind to tell me how to make a link button to share?? I have a Wordpress site rebeccamaedesigns.com. My email is rebeccamaedesigns@gmail.com. Thanks!

ReplyDeleteGosh what weather were they recording? I've seen more rain and gloom than anything else...I think there was maybe 5 days worth of 'summer weather'. Gosh gotta make a mosaic now....=D
ReplyDeleteHmm, apparently I was spending my time forgetting we'd changed month... Oh well!
