Wowzers

Many moons ago I designed the LynneBobSquarePants block.  It has been a popular block around quiltblogland which always makes me happy.  It gives me a thrill each and every time someone makes something I've designed.  I think that's possibly the most fun part for me of quiltblogging.

And then sometimes, it gets taken a step further than I had ever imagined.

Sue from Sue Dario's Quilting Adventures has not only pieced this beautiful quilt but take a look at the quilting which elevates the quilt to a whole new level I never envisaged.

I have used pretty much every one of her blog pictures for this because the quilting has just blown me away.  I feel like her quilting has taken something relatively mundane (my block) and turned it into some kind of quilting masterpiece.  Until today I didn't even like feathers but I think I'm going to have to convert

  15. Yes, Sue is incredible. She did a quilt for me and worried it wouldn't be good enough. I cried each time she sent me an update photo of the progress. She quilted like this with her home machine - and only has had her longarm a short while, that is the Wowza!!
