Skillage

No, I didnt make this block.  I don't have those kinds of skills, or skillz or skillage (as my 12 year old son calls it).  This was made be Charlotte over at Lawson and Lotti and I am showing this because it's about time I showed you some decent sewing after yesterday's sorry block and because today she is featuring me on her weekly "Sunday Sewing Spaces" feature.  So hop on over there to find out more about my sewing room.  There is no sewing room quite like it, that much I can say.

SOL QAL, block 1 - Zipper

  1. I'm quite sure you have that skillage, and liked having a nosy round your casino.

  4. Excuse me, Mrs - your skillage is in danger of causing a spillage in the village ...

loved the box of stuff too!

That zipper block made me weep when I looked at the foundation paper!

  5. You are right Lynne...no one else would have a space like yours. I see, though, that you have sorted your fabric since our interview a year ago LOL

  6. I have now added a new word to my vocabulary: skillage. Love it.
How fun to see you being featured in another interview. I now see how James Bond and quilting can be combined quite well.

  10. Love your "Casino", LOL. You apparently have So much more patience than I do. I would (seriously) have painted (while hubby was gone) and surprised him...Yes I did it to a bathroom one time...LOL...I have been known to say, "better to ask forgiveness than permission." (yes, I AM aware that I am that bad influence your Mama warned you about!)

  11. What a fun post. I really enjoyed seeing your sewing room. I tend to get lost in 'no one wants to see this', but you are an inspiration. I would have painted long ago to give it more light, but I am not you with whatever schedule you have going. It sounds like it is in a great spot. I had my sewing machine in a corner of the living room, my stash in a spare room, hid my cutting board under the sofa, and cut my cloth at the dining table. Needless to say, I was running all over the place and making a mess everywhere. I now have moved the sewing machine to the spare room where I close the door on my projects. Love seeing the projects and this post. Oh, and wouldn't fuzzy dice look great hanging from your light?

  12. I love it!..."skillage" I loved seeing your sewing space. It made me feel a whole lot better about mine! hahaha sorry! Your space looks like when I first started sewing when I was very young! You've just been so creative, why take time to change and fancy up what is working VERY well for you! Don't change a thing!
