It's the first of the month again: Fresh Sewing Day and Small Blog meet. I am trying to work out what I have achieved this month and, frankly I have as good as nothing. My mosaic is empty. So this is the achievement I am going to share this month. Joining the Fat Quarterly team. I was nearly hysterical with excitement when they asked me to join them, it took me all of two seconds to accept and I confess I am just as excited now as I was then.
So what did you achieve this month? Link up at the bottom of this post to show me what you've been working on. If you do link up, how about visiting at least four of the other blogs who link up - two above you and two below you - and stopping to leave a comment as well as visiting back anyone who visits you. As always here's the button to grab:
And link up in the second linky if you are a blog with fewer than 50 followers and would like to get to know a few more people out there in blogland. Write a post about this feature, add the button and then link up.

Next go and visit and get to know at least four other linked blogs - starting with the two above you in the linkys and the two below you. Visit those blogs, leave a comment, click to follow and visit that blog regularly over the next few weeks. Visit more if you have the time. And also visit back any new bloggers who come to visit you and get to know them and their blogs.
A little extra part of this feature is now going to be the Am I A No Reply Comment Blogger section. Yup, each month you will have the chance to test whether you are a no reply comment blogger right here on this post. I get so many comments that I cannot reply to and often I don't think the commenters know that I can't reply. So, if you've ever left a comment on this or any blog and not received a reply, you might be a no-reply-comment-blogger and I and other bloggers can't reply directly to your comments. To find out if you are, leave a comment on this post with your email address in the comment - separate it out into sections to avoid being treated as spam (eg. lilysquilts @ gmail . com). I can then either reply directly to your comment or let you know via the email address you provided that you are a no reply comment blogger.

That's a pretty freaking awesome achievement. You're entitled to bask in your hysterical joy.
ReplyDeleteCongrats again, Lynne... I know you're going to enjoy working with FQ!
ReplyDeleteI feel that way every month lol! Congrats again though Lynne it is great!
ReplyDeleteDon't be so hard on yourself - you have achieved many things this last month - they may not be finishes but they are achievements - not least of which is your addition to the FQ'ly team - keep going with your 'behind the scenes' work as you will be able to share the finished projects with us all soon ;o)
ReplyDeleteWell that's a pretty amazing achievement! Looking forward to seeing what you add to FQ! Will be huuuuuge.l
ReplyDeleteThat's still a good month for you. And probably means you're working on things you can't show us yet :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for doing this again - well done on FQ again. Am I being very technically challenged but I can't get the button to work - do I just have to copy and paste it into my blog post - only the top one third of it is visible if I do that???
ReplyDeletewoohoo, you! I've actually done a lot this month, but I can't face the mosaic maker at the mo (plus, lots remains unphotographed). Trust me, I've been sewing.
ReplyDeletei would take that accomplishment! great work lynne!
ReplyDeleteNo projects to show, but I guess your brain is working overtime! Congratulations again!
ReplyDeleteGreat idea about the no reply blogger thingy - I hate it when I can't reply to a comment because it's no reply!
ReplyDeleteGreat idea about the NRB thing. I try to spread the message wide whenever I can!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on FQ and thanks for doing the No reply thing. For years I had been making comments on blogs and hadn't realized I was a no reply person. One day I left a message through Flickr on a blog I read. That blogger tracked back to me and asked if I was the same person because of my avatar. Lo and behold, I revisited my profile. Suddenly it made sense why comments were never acknowledged. :-)
ReplyDeleteCongrats Lynne! I'm so excited for you and also for all of us. Lynne is going to be spreading her cheer and encouragement even more. Yay!!
ReplyDeleteCourse I already knew that, seeing as I am on twitter now (and slightly feel lke I am eavesdropping on personal conversations!). I think they must just be delighted to have you and all your talents. And I am pleased that I managed to get my act together to join in your lovely fresh sewing day. Just realised my button is so last year - will sort that now!
ReplyDeleteHello Thanks so much - this is such a great idea!
ReplyDeletebtw I didn't know what to do with a button, and found a great tutorial at http://sewmanyways.blogspot.com/2011/06/blog-buddyhow-to-add-button-to-your.html
PS, in case I'm a no-comment blogger catherine @ elusivesprout dot com
ReplyDeleteCongratulations! And thanks for the great linkies!
ReplyDeleteMy mosaic would only have one thing in it this time round (my Pillow Fight cushion!) so I'm going to spend the time visiting lots of other blogs and being excited about you joining FQ!!!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations! And yes, I think that excitement should cover you for at least another month or two!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on your joining the Fat Quarterly team. Always a pleasure to read your share! :)
ReplyDeleteYou 'achievement' trumps most!!
ReplyDeleteJust off to buy a Burberry scarf and Louie Vuitton bag, see ya x
I joined in the small blog meet...and ended up visiting all on the list so far!! Gets a bit addictive this blogging lark! lol x
ReplyDeleteIs FQ ready for Lynne? Explosion! Mad dancing ! Laughter! Colour!
ReplyDeleteWell maybe they are! Time will tell! But I am sure looking forward to it!
I must be reading wrong...I realy dont understand this no-comment bit!! Sorry x

Can you please check if I'm a no-reply-person (I am not blogging, only blog-reading...) sigrunmoller @ web.de or quiltsig @ gmail.com
ReplyDeleteFQ is such an amazing achievement, big congratulations. I don't think I am a NRB but sometimes blogger does odd things and changes bits without you knowing so great idea to double check lawsonandlotti @ live .com
ReplyDeleteThanks again for hosting the small blog meet. It really is cool of you. I hope your having a great day!
ReplyDeleteWell hey, that would have carried me for a month too! Now it would be slightly cheating for me to visit the 2 people below me in the list, as I would have been visiting them anyway, so I'll hunt out another couple that are new to me :o)
ReplyDeletesounds like a fab acheivement to me - congrats again
ReplyDeleteCongrats again Lynne...so happy for you. I'm also glad you are addressing the no-reply thing.
ReplyDeleteI got so busy I forgot that it was the first of the month...and that's bad considering Dec. 1 is my wedding anniversary...yup 38 years with the same man (and yes I was only 10 years old when I got married).
I think that you will be a wonderful addition to Fat Quarterly, I have subscribed from day one! Thank you for hosting this link each month, I continue to meet new people and see wonderful projects as I come back and browse through over several days.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for hosting these events every month. I hooked up my blog for the fresh sewing day!! Hugs
ReplyDeleteThat's a fantastic achievement! :)
ReplyDeleteCONGRATULATIONS!
ReplyDeleteHello!
ReplyDeleteI'm new to your blog and you sure do have some fun stuff going on here. I've been sadly neglecting my blog, but have a fresh post just up so I can join in to your linky-s.
Congrats on joining the FQ team!
Just found your small blog meet. Very cool! Congrats on the Fat Quarterly gig. Very well deserved! I'll happily test out the no-reply thing -- mrcharbon @ hotmail . com. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteGood website! I truly love how it is nice on my eyes it is. I'm wondering how I could be notified when a new post has been made. I've subscribed to your feed which may do the trick? Have a nice day!
