It's always fun to enter a quilt in Amy's Quilt Blogger's Festival but I normally forget. This year I think the quilt that has been my favourite is this one I made for Dashwood Studio using their Cuckoo's Calling line mixed in with some of their Flurry fabrics and some Kona solids.
The quilt is just a large dresden, made scrappily and in inspired by my love of the Georgetown Circle block. It seems to me that making a dresden this way is a kind of a cheat's way to make a Georgetown Circle.
I'm entering it into the Original Design section and I'm excited to see all the other quilts in that category and all the categories. If you haven't browsed or entered the Quilt Festival before, it's definitely worth taking part.
It's lovely. I wouldn't mind having a quilt like that on my bed.
