A while back, Dear Stella asked me to come up with a quilt design for their new Dear Stella line of fabrics and that quilt is on the Dear Stella blog today. Called Sunburst, it is available on their website as a free download. If you download it and make a quilt with the pattern, I'd love to see it!
A big thank you as always to Jane Davidson, my partner in crime, who draws up my quilt designs in EQ7. It's so great to work with her - she always totally gets what I'm trying to do even where I haven't articulated it very well. And I love how much her EQ7 image (below) looks like the actual quilt (above).
They also asked me to come up with a version for their solids and this is the quilt they made from that second design.
Dear Stella have also brought out some of these prints on flannel and the Sunburst quilt was backed with this supersoft flannel print.
Beautiful design!

ReplyDeleteI love this! Great design!
ReplyDeleteThe astric block was the very 1st block I had ever done, mine doesn't have the circle in the middle. I made 30 of them & am now in the process of putting them together a year later :)
ReplyDeleteA fun design. Straightforward and yet very lively. Or very serene depending on your fabrics. It just moves so nicely.
ReplyDeleteGreat design, Lynne! I love the simplicity of it!
ReplyDeleteTwo gorgeous quilts, one wonderful design - clever you!

ReplyDeleteHappy sunbursty day!
ReplyDeleteI haven't told you how brilliant you are and how much you inspire me for a while, but you really do.
