Quilt Now is a brand spanking new quilting magazine, with the first issue due to arrive in July and right now you can win a subscription. It's gonna be fresh, it's gonna be modern and it's being edited by marvellous international quiltguru that is Katy Jones (aka I'm a Ginger Monkey and Quilt Monkey). You can get the first 3 issues delivered in the UK for just £5 if you subscribe now! To take advantage of this CRAZY CHEAP offer, click here to take you to the sign up page. And if at any time you want to cancel your subscription, you can, there's no obligation to carry on.
And to be in with a chance of winning a subscription to the new mag (UK only this time but I'll be fighting for US, Europe, ROW next time, don't you worry), just leave a comment on this post, any comment at all - possibly a rude insult that will make me laugh. Winner to be drawn by random number generator this time next week.
I need to win a subscription so I can see what the competiton is doing without helping them out financially... ;)
ReplyDeleteI am too sick to leave rude comments so consider me winning an act of grace to a dying soul.
ReplyDeleteOoh goody, I'm quite excited about another quilting mag. Please enter me for the competition, many thanks.
ReplyDeleteThis magazine looks amazing! I'm afraid I can't think of anything rude to say!
ReplyDeleteSorry, can't be rude to someone with such a generous giveaway :-) Now, pick my darn name!! Please! skeshlaman@comcast.net
ReplyDeletenice one!! I love fresh new mag!! would love to win!
ReplyDeleteI've already subscribed so I'd like to win this for my friend Gina.
ReplyDeleteYou've now got this song in my head :S

The ladies bras, the ladies bras, the ladies knickers and the ladies bras...
New quilting magazines seem to be like buses; you wait for ages for one, then several appear at once. Here's my very childish rude comment - 5318008 - but you'll have to turn your screen upside down to read it.
ReplyDeleteOk why is it when you invite me to be rude my mind goes blank!? ;-)
ReplyDeleteToo much of a baby brain to think of anything rude lol. Would love to win the subscription 😊 thanks
ReplyDeleteGlad to say like fellow commentors cannot think of anything rude to say! There can never be too many quilt magazines, so I am sure I could easily hide a few more about the house without my husband finding them.
ReplyDeleteI just subscribed - though still time to cancel it if I win ;)
ReplyDeleteI'm very excited about this new mag. I'd find it much easier to be rude if you were trying to sell me double glazing! 😝
ReplyDeleteI'm very excited about this new mag. I'd find it much easier to be rude if you were trying to sell me double glazing! 😝
ReplyDeleteBrilliant. Can't wait till it comes out.
ReplyDeleteI don't do rude but here is a joke: I stole this from a friend; When he gets phone calls about switching his energy provider, he politely advises the customer service rep "Sorry mate, I am steam powered here. Not interested in cheaper gas and electric".
Hope this made you laugh
Yes please would love get a chave to win. Thank Lynne ps I'm much too nice to be rude
ReplyDeleteI am looking forward to this new magazine and YAY for Katy!
ReplyDeleteA new mag fab., cos I certainly don't get enough already!!!
ReplyDeleteGo Katy! Great to see more modern quilting magazines flooding the market! Jxo
ReplyDeleteNo insult, that would be cruel. I would however like a subscription!
ReplyDeletewould so love to win this - yay for Katy - I'm sure it will be awesome :-)
ReplyDeleteMy husby would say that I need another quilting magazine like I need a hole in the head.
ReplyDeleteI have subscribed and really looking forward to it popping through my letter box
ReplyDeleteWhat a load of prudes they are above! I expect the magazine will be full of blocks like those in that 500 blocks book that is so uninspiring and I'll just think that they could have done better but I won't know unless I read it.
ReplyDeleteBwahahaha, hope you don't plan on giving it to friend for her birthday if you win.
DeleteI tried to subscribe but it kept telling me my sort code was wrong...
ReplyDeleteapparently there's an issue with one bank's sort codes for some reason BUT - give the subs peeps a call on 0844 561 1203 and quote E0LS and they'll sort it out xxx Katy xxx
DeleteDelighted to hear of another great quilting magazine :)
ReplyDeleteI'm bloody gonna be another year older by this time next week and consider my winning a non-birthday present
ReplyDeleteOoh yummy! Please enter me in the draw!
ReplyDeleteI've already subscribed too, but then it said the subscription started with the second issue in August which seemed weird.
ReplyDeleteIt'll start from issue 1, promise. The company that deal with subs had a glitch on their site but all early subscribers will get the first 3 issues. Katy xx
DeleteYes please, enter me in the draw, just love patchwork quilting and a new magazine to glean ideas from will be just great
ReplyDeleteSince I can't win because I am in the USA, I tried to subscribe. Not possible. promotion not valid in that country. Oh well... Please don't pick me.
ReplyDeleteYes please for the draw...the one time quilters in the UK have been better off than those in the US!
ReplyDeletean insult??? I couldn't possibly!
ReplyDeleteThanks Lynne!
Please let me win the draw - I bank with Santander and for some reason my sort code doesn't work with the subscription form. Katy knows about it but winning this would save me having to print and post the form!
ReplyDeleteI'm jealous! I guess the commonwealth (canada) doesn't rank when it comes to shipping ... But for the price you mentioned I'd take an e-book subscription instead.
ReplyDeleteNow, insults - your mother smells of elderberries and your father was a snowblower!
Cer i grafu! (Ask him indoors for a translation - well you did ask us to be rude so it would be rude not to!)
ReplyDeleteIf i win this prize i'll be much to happy looking at extra quilty goodness to be rude...thanks for great prize!
ReplyDeleteLove to win the new mag - it's great it's published in England!
ReplyDeleteOooh, another fab magazine, the UK is rocking it with new Quilting Mags, can't wait to see what excitement it will have to offer. Something rude, the pressure, doesn't seem fair when you're offering a prize, but here goes, if i don't win then you're a stinky bumface, don't want to be too offensive as i think some of these ladies will set upon me (and they're pretty scary)!
ReplyDeleteLooks lovely!
ReplyDeleteHI, sounds really neat!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing!
msstitcher1214@gmail.com
I'd like to win but if I don't... that's when I'll be rude!
ReplyDeleteYeah? So's your face.
ReplyDeleteThat's the best insult ever, there's just no arguing with it. :)
Thanks for the chance to win - I'd love to check this new magazine out!
Fecking hell I need to win this!
ReplyDeleteI'm loving UK sewing magazines at the moment and would love to win!
ReplyDeleteExciting to see a new magazine...but can we get it in the US? And better yet will we have to convert from metric because this girl struggles with that !!!
ReplyDeleteWonderful to hear of a new publication, would love to see an issue, is it going to be available to newsagents?
ReplyDeleteYes please! Just what I need to inspire more UFOs....
ReplyDeleteI love magazines :) this would be a wonderful prize to win!
ReplyDeleteWinning this competition would make my husband very happy, then he would not have to support my addiction with another subscription. Thanks for an amazing giveaway. x
ReplyDeleteI'm never rude ;) would love to win though!
ReplyDeleteYou and Katy are creating addicts of us all! Great opportunity to spy what's in the new mag.
ReplyDeleteI'd like to win a subscription and you're a numpty :)
ReplyDeleteWell I can't be rude but will say its great to see a new magazine coming out:). Would love to give it a try so will follow the link. You will have a shock instore in your email, I've finally finished my Union Jack pillow so have emailed you a photo. I love it! :))))
ReplyDeletePeg xx
I have recently become fascinated by patchwork and quilts and would love to Win a subscription - I would learn so much from the magazine
ReplyDeleteThis magazine looks great, it would be nice to see fabric amounts in cm/m's, not yards so I know how much to buy without working it out myself.
ReplyDeletejen dot barnard at btinternet dot com
I learnt a new word today. Spam trumpet.
ReplyDeleteCan you guess what it means?
my previous comment was rude, a spam trumpet isn't to be sniffed at (literally) but then I read the other comments - what part of UK ONLY didn't all those Canadians and Americans understand?? Like they don't have enough quilting magazines and dirt cheap fabric without trying to win the very few UK only giveaways?!?! &^%^&*^&%
ReplyDeleteMy mum needs this mag, my sub is already sorted, yay katy
ReplyDelete'Fudgebucket' is my favourite insult. Doesn't mean anything, but sounds good when you say it with conviction!
ReplyDeleteeveningemma gmail com
I was showing my quilting friends your blog and we decided that we prefer our blogs to not have any mention of lady parts (or associated hair) and although we admire your tutorial for machine binding we prefer to stitch it all on by hand. Usually using cat hair that we've spun into fine thread (we dye the cat to match the binding fabric) so if you could do that in the future then we'd really appreciate it.
ReplyDeleteP.S. I can't imagine how wonderful a quilting magazine edited by Katy is going to be but I know it's going to be better than anything I could hope for!
Tried your binding by machine, and because I'm too skint to have the binding clips that everyone on the blogosphere have it took me flippin longer than when I bind by hand. What have you done? You've pushed me towards the Quilt Police?! :-p
ReplyDeleteGreat blog and thanks for sharing the info on quick quilting, I'll be adding that book to my list! I would also love to win this super giveaway, as a girl can't have too many quilting magazines x
ReplyDelete"Sew" can't think of anything rude!!! Very new to all this quilting so a magazine subscription would be great.
ReplyDeleteThanks.
