Trying out blogger apps

Instead of lugging my laptop on holiday this year, I'm thinking of trying to get away with just taking my ipad. But I confess I find blogging on the ipad a bit cumbersome. I've the blog press app but don't find it easy to use.

So I'm trying out Blogsy and I am liking it a lot so far. It's been quick and easy to set up and enables me to access Instagram, Flickr and Camera Roll photos easily. Which gives me a chance to show you the Oakshott underskirt I added to Eve's dress today to give it a year or two more years of life (above). And Amy's hair which we "washed" using a spray in volumising dry shampoo after having dip dyed it earlier in the week. Gosh she now loves her great big pouffy dirty blondey mane.
And so let me know. Have you tried any blogging apps and, if so, how did you get on with them. Or are you able to blog fine directly on your ipad?

  1. I have the blogger app on my android phone, and I absolutely hate it! It doesn't seem to link up with my account properly at all, ever since some update a few months ago. I really should get round to finding another one, alas, alack, apathy is me... ;o)

  2. I have the blogger app on my iPhone. It links up fine and works easily, but it doesn't give much control over layout. I still haven't found a way to centre photos :(

  4. I tried the Blogger app - hated it. Then I tried Blogsy and I love it. I very rarely use my laptop anymore to post on my blog.

  5. So far I've only tried the blogger app and I really don't Luke it. It seems to make my photos really crap quality. I might try this blogsy one :)

  6. I've literally just posted for the first time using the Blogger app, I didn't love it. Must try Blogsy. Need to figure out a few things on photos as I usually crop and edit them to correct colour & "watermark" them on my laptop with Picasa so I need to find a good photo app too.

  7. I've used Blogsy and like it. Seems easy to use and the video tutorials explain it well.

  8. Amy's hair looks great - I saw your image on IG the other day, when she'd requested it.

I just use Blogger or Blogpress. Must have a look at Blogsy.

I edit and crop photos with camera + and add my URL using A Beautiful Mess - which takes a bit of time, but easier than carting around a laptop.

    Happy holiday x

  10. I blog from the iPhone using the blogger app. It's ok for a quick post. Still no iPad! I let Mr. R off the hook again. I got a new sewing table instead so I can't complain.

  12. I have used both Blogger and Blogpress until Blogpress stopped working on my iPhone. I like Blogger especially now that you can insert your photos where you want them. If I'm at home with WiFi I'll save post as a draft and use my laptop to add more labels and add more text.

  13. I don't have an iphone or ipad ( and my android phone has been stolen) so totally in the dark about blogging apps. My daughter is a fan of the dry shampoo as well. Both girls look lovely!

  19. I try to use Blogger app on the iPad but end up reverting to the desktop. Would dearly love to find a good option for our travels later in the year... Blogger doesn't let me add links and getting the photos from camera to post via iPad isn't the smoothest transition!
