For those of you going to the Fat Quarterly retreat this weekend, we are getting more and more excited about our Friday and Saturday night events. On Friday night, we are planning to be watching the sun go down over London on the Baden Powell House roof terrace with cold beers and snacks from the BPH bar or the local supermarkets (Tesco and Waitrose just around the corner). We'll all be showing and telling quilts and other makes. Delma from Siblings Together will be there to see any Siblings Together quilts and meet and thank the makers. Alex Veronelli from Aurifil will be there to chat about life, the universe and thread weights. The Fat Quarterly gang will all be there chatting and chilling. Can't wait to see you there.
And on Saturday night we have "Quilt Market" where attendees and sponsors will be selling fabrics, threads, homemade items, stash, quilting books - anything and everything quilt related. Shops and sponsors attending include Oakshott, Aurifil, Eternal Maker, Fluffy Sheep Quilting, Simply Solids, Pin It and Stitch It, Tikki, Patch Fabrics and Village Haberdashery so save your pennies for this fun evening of shopping and socialising!
Oh, I wish I could be there............... sounds great............enjoy.........

ReplyDeleteDo any of you plan on going to the quilt show at the NEC in Birmingham in early August? I'm going to the UK and will be near Birmingham and thought I'd go. I'd love to meet some of my favorite sources of inspiration!
