I've banged on before about the Korbond lint roller. When I'm sewing, finishing blocks, trimming the threads on a quilt, I snip and roll, snip and roll, snip and roll. That way you can clean up thread-covered sewing without making a thread-covered room or covering yourself in thread. But I confess, I couldn't resist this mini handbag version in the supermarket yesterday. Perfect for a travel sewing kit.
Spray on quilt, roll off cotton. This sewing malarky is getting more and more appealing by the day.
ReplyDeleteBut I love going to work covered in threads from an early morning session, it's my favourite thing ever after being covered in dog hair
ReplyDeleteVery cute - have fun!
ReplyDeleteI use these lint rollers when I quilt and sew! I would not be caught without them.
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful idea!!! I'm in the process of finding and snipping invisible threat off the backside of a large quilt. This will help me find and keep them all tidy! Thanks for the tip!
ReplyDeleteI did some sewing lately that all had to be taken out with my handy dandy seam ripper ~ then discovered how well the lint roller works to take those pesky threads away ~ it's my new sewing tool!
ReplyDeleteI also use lint rolls when sewing. They're awesome. I always clear my workspace with them too, and my cutting mat :)
ReplyDeleteThis is a great idea...I have many in my house & in my desk at work, but didn't think of it in the sewing room!
ReplyDeleteAww a dinky one! I use the big one all the time :-) Good for picking off all the wee bits of thread from the inevitable 20 times I've had the ripper out...
ReplyDeletewhy have I not thought of this?!! I can just imagine you singing a little ditty as you 'snip and roll' ;)
ReplyDeleteSorry. What were you saying? I was distracted by the lovely Union Jack block...
ReplyDeleteIt feels like I could fill the whole roller sometimes when I do that. I can't believe all the threads left behind.
ReplyDeleteYou are mad!
ReplyDeleteEvery time I see those in Tesco I think of you xxx
