When I asked for Abakhan Projects on a Budget relating to kids last month, one commenter asked for some supplies for her quilting class in school. William Abakhan and I both loved this idea and gave the school a larger budget than normal to share between the 12 children. They have decided on the following projects:
- making themselves pin cushions and needle books out of felt so they can sew at home as well as in school, making bags out of some beautiful fabric they've picked and making some shakesperean style capes for the characters in the school play. Well done to their teacher, Sarah Jones for bringing up another generation of quilters and we look forward to seeing progress on their projects.
That's brilliant! I love it, especially the giggles.
