Sew it with Aurifi

Those of you who read this blog will know that I sew with Aurifil.  I piece with 50wt and quilt with 50wt, 40wt and 28wt.  If I was an embroiderer or hand quilter, I would quilt with 12 wt.

And now here's your chance to sew with Aurifil.  Alex Veronelli from Aurifil is offering one of you the chance to try out one of their 12 spool Designer Collection thread sets and let us know how you get on.  This month we are offering a choice between the Sheena Norquay Autumn Collection:

And her Seascape Collection.  Both collections contain 12 50wt spools containing 1422 yds of each of the colours shown.

To be in with a chance of playing with these beautiful threads, here's what you need to do:
  • Leave a comment letting me know what you would make using one of these collections and letting me know which collection would suit your project better.
  • You can make something big, small, quilted, not quilted, useful, decorative.  It's up to you.
  • After a few days, we will pick our favourite project suggestion and that person will be sent the thread collection.
  • All we ask of you is that you write a guest post for this blog containing photos of the finished item and a tutorial showing us how you made it, ideally within one month of receipt of the threads.

  3. I'd go for the first box as I'm really needing some red, purples, browns and oranges. My bee blocks are almost all in, and when I have them all I'll be making my first attempt at QAYG to get some dense quilting on them :-) Cant wait!

  4. The Seascape Collection would be perfect for my first foray into FMQ, great colour matches to my Skill Builder BOM, they would certainly be better than the white I had planned on using, heres a link http://duckeggthreads.blogspot.co.uk/2013/02/great-block-names.html

The autumn collection would go best with the current decor so I guess I would vote for that set of colors. I LOVE the seascape colors, just can't decide how I could make them work. Thanks for a fun giveaway!

    ReplyDelete
  30. Aurifil is my favorite thread. I would use the Seascape collection to make a quilted, whole cloth pillow, where the quilting comprises all of the design. These threads can stand on their own, and with some clever quilting these threads turn a plain piece of fabric into something with color, texture, and interest. No piecing needed. This is the perfect size project to practice your machine quilting at home.

  31. Now when I see the seascape colors all I can think of is a beautiful blue shaded quilt, a cup of hot tea and a nice book on the porch of my uncle's beach house. I would love to be able to make that dream a reality!

  38. My next project, as soon as I finish sashing together quilted blocks into a king size quilt and binding it, is to make a wall hanging from the Sugarloaf Campground quilt featured in the July/August '08 issue of Quiltmaker Magazine. The Autumn collection would be perfect for this as my fabrics are greens, rusts, purples and golds. If you have a chance, check out the pattern. It is perfect for someone who loves the outdoors.

  39. I would like the SeaScape collection please. I have been quilting for about 1 1/2 years but, have always wanted to make a dresden plate quilt. I have been collecting fabric for over and have finally found that last piece of fabric, a piece of blue and yellow rose print. I had a small scrap just not quit enough, you know? My husbands favorite color is blue so I'm making it for him. He deserves it, he is the funder of my OCD addictions after all. I think the color collection and the color variations will make a great topper to my quilt. I can't wait to sew together! Thank you for this opportunity, have a quilty day. :)

  40. Hmmmm.... If u picked me I would make a version of the Modern Maples Quilt from the book by Quilt Dad and the Autumn collection would be PERFECT! Of course I'd have to put my own twist on the quilt but I can see its prettiness now! I'd do some FMQ in the negative space and TRY to showcase some of those GORGEOUS threads!

  46. The seascape collection would perfectly suit a project I began last year for Queen Elizabeth's Diamond Jubilee. Designed with inspiration from the emblem of the jubilee, I am nearing the quilting phase of the project. The quilt includes foundation pieced diamonds that I designed, an appliqued crown and text, and a traditionally pieced union jack. The Aurifil threads would be the finishing touch on this quilt. Thank you so much for this giveaway!

I have been asked to make a babay gift for a train buddy and after her turning down a wonderful robot fabric I have found a brilliant set of blue dinousaurs munching on great big green shoots which fit the bill. These threads are really spot on and would finish it of a treat, as i have chosen a bright green border to match to.. Fingers crossed

  61. I have spent the greater part of the last six months (probably more like a year) working on a king sized quilt for my son. Having been hampered by work hours and worse, bursitis lingering in my shoulder and arm, I am now to putting the borders on - ready to quilt it. I know the autumn colors would be dynamite to use on this quilt. I have been wanting to try Aurifil - but have to purchase online as there is no local access to it. However, am ready to try some of these beautiful colors. Goal is to have this done by the end of March as my son is moving into his first purchased house!

    ReplyDelete
  62. I love, love, LOVE Aurifil! I've got a pile of batiks that are in the same colorways as the Seascape collection, and I'd love to use them to make a simple Irish chain quilt. It's a pattern that would show off the fabrics beautifully, and leave negative space for FMQ motifs using these beautiful threads!

    ReplyDelete
  63. Oh I love them both, but my next quilt is one with Autumn colors. I bought a panel when I was in Kansas last week Jim Hansel Editions for Realtree. Love your threads.

  69. This past year has been a busy year for making baby quilts. I am now just completing the 5 quilts for the first child of 5 nieces and nephews born into our family. Since it was their first baby I wanted to give them a special rememberence and actually each quilt has been designed with a differnt pattern or theme to make them special. I am now working on "Stacked Coins" for the 5th and final quilt. The colors of "Autumn" would look gorgeous on the final quilt and would give it the creative pizazz that would finish this lovely quilt nicely.

  70. The seascape is so beautiful. It would make great couch pillows for my mom. She lives in Texas, but loves the beach and has beach themed everything except her boring couch.

  77. The autumn collection would be perfect for the memory quilt wall hanging I am making for a dear friend whose wedding was last fall that will feature pictures I took at her wedding. I have gathered all the fabrics, have the design I want to use all drawn out, I just need some gorgeous threads to make it a true work of art. The colours she used for her decorations at the reception were were golds and yellows, burgundy, warm browns, and a bit of dark green. Her dress was cream with a beautiful crisscross pleated pattern that I am incorporating into the quilt. These beautiful threads would be so perfect for the doing the appliques and the background stitching. I can't wait to get this project done and surprise her with it.

  78. The Seascape and then I would make a wall hanging for me because that colour collection is my favourite and then I would buy the 12wt Aurifil in the same colours and have both on the top of the quilt showing the variance of the two weights. I think it would look spectacular because I would either hand quilt or machine quilt with both of them. I only have white Aurifil thread but would love to try this wonderful collection of my favourite colours and it would be really exciting to use.

    ReplyDelete
  79. I am currently in love with the Essex Yarn Dyed fabrics. I would make a wholecloth pillow and stitch something fancy on them. I would prefer the autumn collection.

  80. Colors in Seascape are "calling me" at this time, as the spring and summer approach...As is the pile of different fabrics in those colors that I have - there is a batik pile, but there is also a solids pile - something I didn't work much with before but it would be perfect for quilting and embellishing with Aurifil!!
And all that with a block of the month I designed some time ago (stars!) - we played with it in my local quilt shop and now I want to share it on my blog as regular feature. Block tutorial, small project from it (so it can be finished and QUILTED) and then ideas for a bigger project too.

  81. This is what I see: using my fat quarter bundle of Salt Water by Tula Pink, the Seascapes thread package, and the new Sweetheart quilt pattern by Jaybird Quilts, I would make a fabulous wall hanging. Oh - and my new open toe free motion quilting foot should be here any day now....such fun! Thanks for the give away!

  85. I have the fabrics & template ruler bought to do a dreseden quilt project. The colors in the first collection would go better with my project. As it has lots of golds, yellows and greys in the fabrics I bought. It looks like the first collection contains 3 spools of yellowish golden spools. conn_and_vans_mom(at)yahoo(dot)com

  86. I have a vast collection of blue batiks, so Seascape would fit right into my next project, to be pieced with Drunkard's path templates

  87. Oh wow, I would love to have the chance to work with Aurifil and the bank manager won't stretch that far just now. So if I was chosen I would donate the experience to quilt the Siblings Together quilt(s) I am making. They are already underway, but no need to panic, I have photo's to be able to write a post about them. I'm having such a fun time making the zigzag quilt and think the Seascape collection would go beautifully with the aqua, blues, yellow and white. I think an echo style of straight lines on the white sections, then maybe more intense on the coloured zig zags. That hank you for the chance to enter.

    ReplyDelete
  88. Both groups of threads are beautiful but I think I would use the Autumn group more. I would try a free motion embroidery picture, for a wall hanging or pillow maybe. It would be fun to play with all those colors!

    ReplyDelete
  89. The Seascape collection would be perfect for the quilting on my Swoon quilt!

    ReplyDelete
  90. I've been stashing batiks in the Seascape colors for a king size quilt. I have a couple of Hoffman strip sets and a number of fat quarters and assorted yardage. All I'm missing is the design. The threads would work great!

    ReplyDelete
  91. Oh the Autumn threads would be perfect thread play on the black Spirograph quilting I'm working on. I can already envision how the goldens, reds, greens, and blue will dance on the black fabric.

    ReplyDelete
  92. Oh Seascape would be perfect to use with my Tula Pink Saltwater! I hear such wonderful things about Aurifil, but have never purchased any. Special thread for special fabric! Unfortunately with the other demands in my life there is no way I could complete a project within a month of receiving the thread! Thanks for the opportunity, though.

    ReplyDelete
  93. I love love the autumn threads. I would make an EPP pillow cover with my lilly belle scraps :)

  96. Im getting fabric together to make quilts for 2 of my Grandsons plus I have a new grandbaby on the way that will of course need a quilt! The Seascape collection would be my first pick but I'd take either! I need to build up my thread supply!

    ReplyDelete
  97. I would love to try the seascape collection. I have a sewing machine cover that I am dying to make. It will be sort of a wholecloth idea, and quilting will the the design. I've been wanting to make one for a while and I'm still working on some fmq designs I've been learning from Leah Day. I think it would be beautiful. I have a generous supply of some solid graphite colored fabric that needs some beautiful, colorful stitching done to it!

    ReplyDelete
  98. Both of the sets are wonderful, but I would choose the Seascape. I'm doing some threadpainting pictures of lighthouses and/or beach/ocean pictures and these colors are perfect for that application! I'm drooling already!

    ReplyDelete
  99. I would make a table topper in a cream fabric and quilt it. Ery modern with lots of wonky straight lines in the autumn colours!

    ReplyDelete
  100. You just get goose bumps when you look at those awesome thread colors. I'm working on 'The Civil War Love Letter Quilt' (on row 9 of 11) and the autumn colors would enhance each block as I am planning to do free-motion quilting on this one (which I still have to learn to do) and I had already decided to change colors on each of the 121 6" blocks. Oh, my, these would be a blessing to this (two year) late wedding gift for my son and wife. :-) Tks for the opportunity to win!!!

    ReplyDelete
  101. I have a photo on my inspiration board that I would love to make into a quilt. I took the photo on vacation in California. It is a beautiful little bay along the coastline. The seascape threads would be perfect. Thanks for the chance to win. I love aurifil

    ReplyDelete
  102. I have a red and purple quilt that the autumn collections would look fabulous on!

    ReplyDelete
  103. I also love to use Aurifil thread when I piece and quilt my projects. I would love to win the autumn thread. I would make a love a new leaf based quilt.

    ReplyDelete
  104. Both of the thread sets have great colors that I can use, but if forced to choose, I'd go for the Seascape collection and use it for piecing, too. I have many sets of Baker's Dozen Exchange blocks that I've been wanting to use to make quilts. The set that I want to use first are of the theme "Blue Stars on Red & White Background". I have 25+ blocks of various fabrics, sizes and shapes, so the trick will be determing how to piece them all together into a cohesive quilt top.

    ReplyDelete
  105. Love those....the seascape threads really sing to me, BUT, the Autumn colors coordinate really well the the Oakshott bundle I bought at QuiltCon. I am strategizing on how I can balance the gorgeous shot cottons with neutrals/linens. Not sure yet if I want to go HST or rectangular. Decisions, decisions...

    ReplyDelete
  106. Both... but like I have to choose one of them I choose seascape collection. I'll do a beautiful bookcover with it!

    ReplyDelete
  107. I'd love the seascape collection, it would be perfect with the blue batiks I'm going to turn into a bag and a pillow for my BFF.

    ReplyDelete
  108. I Love the seascape. I have some cute embroidery sea animal babies that would make a wonderful baby quilt.

    ReplyDelete
  109. Either one of those would go perfectly with my Salt Air Siblings quilt: perfect for quilting it (I know that doesn't count, as its not a project but you may just have pointed me in the right thread/colour direction!!)

    ReplyDelete
  110. I've been wanting to make a beach inspired quilt that looks like sea glass floating in the sand, so the second box would be perfect!

    ReplyDelete
  111. I have some Tutti Fruiti fabric I have been planning a pillow for my granddaughter's hope chest. http://www.dailycraft.com/blog/2011/06/rainbow-illusion-pillow-a-free-quilt-pattern/ The two collections would be wonderful to quilt it with. Thank you for sharing.

  112. I would definitely go for the seascape colors. I would use it for a lovely lighthouse seascape as I am a collector of anything lighthouse and would love a quilt to go with my collection.

    ReplyDelete
  113. The Seascape Collection will work perfectly with my new bundle of SaltWater from Tulla Pink. I'm so excited to start working on a lap size quilt made from Saltwater fabric. I will give it to a friend who lives on the Atlantic coast. A perfect combination for a quilt for her. I sure would enjoy the Seascape collection of Aurifil to match this fabric line perfectly.

    ReplyDelete
  114. OOOH I love both collections, I just took a class on Quilted landscapes and need to keep making more projects to improve my new skills. I LOVE Aurifil threads they are so LICKABLE!

    ReplyDelete
  115. The Autumn Collection would be absolutely perfect for a batik wall-hanging I have been working on. Actually, the piecing is done, but I have been hesitant to start the quilting because I did not have a clue how to choose thread colors. My work has been done for me: these are perfect!

    ReplyDelete
  116. I'm working on a quilt in all blues, so the Seascape collection would be perfect. I'm using the Accuquilt GO! Winding Ways die and all batiks, so I would use this collection to do the piecing and quilting. I have only 4 blocks done so far, and need 90, so need lots of thread! Then quilting it would need more! Thanks.

    ReplyDelete
  117. I just today finished a house quilt in blue and green scraps. I quilted it roughly on the machine but would love to make decorative stitches on every house to make the quilting more dense. Unfortunately I'm out of Aurufill but luckily I finally found a supplier here in Denmark, so will have to order a new batch.

    ReplyDelete
  118. The seascape set would go beautifully with a precut "tumblers" kit that I picked up recently. I would add in some grey solids to make the baby quilt a bit bigger and give me some space to play with the lovely colours with custom machine quilting.

I have been using off white thread for everything lately (piecing and quilting) but I'd love to try Aurufil and see how it behaves in my machine.

  121. I'm working on a jungle quilt for my great-nephew's bed and the Autumn collection would be perfect for quilting!

  122. I have a lovely wall hanging in my head, just a simple trip around the world, but the quilting over it is waves, fish and, most importantly, sea turtles. The Seascape collection would best suit my design and first foray into a little bit of thread painting.

  123. Seascape Collection would certainly be fun to create a Threadplay project using the ribbon techniques, by Libby Lehman. Speaking of which, there is a free video to all membership levels, available at The Quilt Show, thru the end of February.

  125. The Seascape collection would be my pick, I love to make blue and green quilts over and over.

  126. I love the Seascape collection. I would make a hexagon mug rug.

  127. Hi, thanks for this generous offer! I drool over modern quilt colours but alas white remains an absent colour in most of my quilts. I prefer the more treaditional, darker fall colours (so guess which collection I would choose). I have selected an autrailian fabric to make a one block wonder quilt with, and theses threads would be a great match. Lori

  128. I would love to make a wall hanging quilt using the Seascape collection. We love Myrtle Beach and the colors in that collection would help make a beautiful wall hanging. Would love to have the chance to try it out.

  129. I love the Seascape colors. I'm working on starting an Etsy shop selling unique bags, clutches, wristlets, etc. These beautiful colors will work wonderfully with much of the fabric I've purchased. Fingers crossed!

  130. I have the perfect project for the seascape collection :) my friends are kite surfers and are leaving Nouméa soon, I want to make them a mini to remind them of their ten years here. I'm thinking improv curves in many hues of blue to show the sky and the lagoon. I'm thinking flying geese to represent the kites. There will even be a turtle hiding in the shallows of the lagoon (the kite surfers have to jump over them lol). I'm excited to start this project and crossing my fingers for this giveaway :)

  131. Ahhhh! I really want these. I just bought my first 50wt and loved it. It's sews like a dream. Quilts awesome!! Gosh, i would take either color palette. I need to make each of my kids a special quilt. I've made quilts for my family member, auction/fundraiser, and parents. Now, need to do one for each of my kids. They are 9 1/2, 7 and 5. I just started quilting a little over two years ago and completely hooked. Thank you for the chance.

  132. I would love to win the autumn collection and I would use it to make another random slab scrap quilt for the Children at Risk Program in Calgary that provides quilts for children that have to be taken from unsafe situations and placed in foster care often without time to pack anything. The police officers provide them with a stuffed fuzzy friend and a quilt to cuddle to help them settle in the foster home. The warm colors in the autumn collection would help them cuddle with a cozy quilt!

  133. I think the autumn bunch would be best for me since I would use it to quilt my precious black and rainbow quilt once it is finally finished.

  134. W O W!!! What an opportunity to win one of these fantastic packs!! LUV Aurifil and hues of blue being my most favourite colour. I will be starting a new project soon: 'Where Land & Sea Meet' and the colours of the Seascape collection fits like a glove as it covers both landscapes (yippee)! I can always jump up and down yelling: "Pick Me! Pick Me!" but I will play it down by keeping a positive mind and hoping my positive vibes find its way to you to have you decide: You won a Seascape collection! Thank you for affording us this opportunity. Muchly appreciated xxx

  137. What a wonderful giveaway! I love the Autumn collection; those colors would work really well with the quilt that I am working on now. I plan on
trying out some FMQ on this quilt. Thanks for the chance to win!

  138. The autumn collection would be my choice as I am a fall fabric collector and love to make quilts with the maple leaf design. I would love to make a maple leaf table runner showcasing the different threads in the quilting.

  139. i would choose the seascape collection, to make a blue and white quilt for my brother who has melanoma. maybe 10 mo to live, maybe 2 years. really love my brother. right now he does not want any family members to come and see him. he lives far away from us. i respect his wishes, but a quilt can go in my place and wrap him and his wife in our love.
thanks for the opportunity to win, and thanks for reading this. caregivers need support, too, and that's why i want to send him the quilt.

  140. Seascape! So beautiful. Also, I think it would go well with Joel Dewberry, Notting Hill, which I happen to have a sweet little FQ bundle of. I plan to make a baby quilt once I find out whether I'm having a boy or a girl, and I'd just add few different FQs to "Girlify" it if it's to be a girl :-)

  141. I would love Seascapes, I am making Tula Pinks Anchors Aweigh quilt and would use it on that but for you I want to make a friendship mug rug with rain clouds falling on a rainbow colored umbrella and the back of the mug rug will be for people to sign and then send on for the next person who needs a mug rug hug.

  142. I would love Seascapes, too.. I have a brand new Janome 6600 and class tomorrow, and 4 quilts lined up and some EPP to sew onto a wall hanging. I also have 2 easter dresses to make and a purse made from scraps, but mostly the quilts with some beautiful new fabric lines, like seven wonders, color me retro, ty pennington, Cosmo...

  143. I would start an embroidery quilt with either collection.

    ReplyDelete
  144. I would love to use the Autumn collection if given the opportunity. I have just started a landscape quilt representing Creation for my church and have planned to use machine quilting to really accent the entire scene. The Autumn colors would fit perfectly with the scene I have started.

  145. I am hoarding a stash of warm and cool oakshott fabrics to create a very dead simple quilt layout of large colorful blocks. I am gradually buying enough colorful Aurifil to straight line quilt across the pieced blocks of color using complementary threading that will appear against the simple layout - sort of like creating a modern plaid quilting design which will show up on a solid backing. The range of colors in the Autumn collection would be perfect!

    ReplyDelete
  146. I have a kit of hand-dyed fabric to make a rainbow quilt that I think the Autumn collection would be perfect for. If I won I would have no excuse not get started on it.

    ReplyDelete
  147. I would like the seascapes collection. I designed a lap size quilt using deb strain's seascapes fabric. I would use the collection to quilt my top.

    ReplyDelete
  148. Seascape. I would add a bunch of hand quilting to a quilt I am working on for my niece. It would be a wonderful compliment the current color scheme of blues and greens.

    ReplyDelete
  149. Both collections are stunning and it's hard to choose which one would be better for my current project. It's a queen sized bedspread quilt called "Dreaming of Morocco" that I'm making for my daughter, who served there in Peace Corps. The center is a rustic looking door in periwinkle, inspired by the palette of the town Chefchaouen. Mediterranean light on white walls with a palette of seafoam green, lavender, blues and periwinkle throughout the town. Around the door will be panels of Moroccan tile inspired patchwork. This will be in white and jewel tones. The wide border is a gold fabric with a little gold leaf, inspired by the metalwork of Morocco. I will hand applique/embroider black cord in patterns inspired by the metal grillwork found on Moroccan windows, doors, and fences. I am almost done with the door, its tile overhang and surrounding carved white rockwork. I won't get this done in a month but will have something to show! I think I choose Seascape because of the palette of Chefchaouen. Whether you choose this or not, I send a shout out to all the wonderful Peace Corps volunteers current and past who represent our country abroad.

  150. I have a stack of teal and green fabric cut out for a great little lap quilt and another stack of teal and cream/tan/brown fabrics for another quilt and the seascape collection would be perfect for both of them. I've just discovered aurifil threads and love them

  151. I haven't yet quilted with Aurifil, but I'm really wanting to try the 28wt. I quilt with 40wt now and would like a little more pop and zing! While I would love to win, I'm not a designer and I mostly make stuff from other people's patterns and tutorials, changing them to suit my size needs (I made quilts for dog crates and cat carriers for animal rescues). I'm not sure I can make a tute of someone else's pattern--so, for now, I will just drool and one day pony up and buy some! I'm sure everyone is thanking you for this awesome chance!

    ReplyDelete
  152. I would pick the Autumn threads. I have always wanted to do some thread painting and since Halloween is my favorite holiday I would love to try doing a thread painting wall quilt.

    ReplyDelete
  153. I would love to work with Seascape! I am currently working on a paper piecing quilt with one of my own patterns. It will be in white and various blues! A water theme has already crept in there with the fabrics, so Seascape would be the perfect fit for the quilting! My quilt will be called "blue Springs" after the emerald and aqua fresh water springs in Florida!

  155. I love Seascape so that would be the one I would choose. I love the 50wt to piece my EPP and I'm in the process of designing a new piece, a rectangular wall hanging in those colours. I usually just use a grey Aurifil thread to piece and quilt but it would be fabulous to actually be able to choose a matching thread! Thank you so much for giving someone the chance to play with these wonderful threads!

  156. I would love either of these, I really want to play with aurifil, as it has so many good reviews.

I have a daughter who is in training to become a nanny. Think MAry pPoppins, and you won't be far wrong. She needs a 'rainy day Bag' , and wouldn't that be a project for this?

  157. That autumn collection of Aurifil would be fantastic for a baby quilt that I hope to make. I'd happily show the details if I win and in time too. Thanks for the chance. Jane

  158. I am part way through making a quilt for a friends new grandbaby, it's called "Oh I do like to be beside the sea". The seascape collection would be absolutely perfect for finishing and quilting this quilt, you can see a photo of the quilt on my blog http://quiltingonthemove.blogspot.com.es/2013/02/wow-solomons-quilt.html I have loved making this quilt so much I would be happy to make another showing the process in photos. 160. I am about to start quilting the first Christmas quilt for my baby daughter. I actually finished the top right on time for this past Christmas. But because we are a military family and were relocating overseas, I could not finish the project. Would love to be able to use an Autumn collection of threads - it would go very well with my upcoming project :)

  161. I would pick the seascape collection and use it to quilt a mystery quilt I started last spring, but have not finished yet. Those colors would be perfect for it.

    ReplyDelete
  162. well, I only own white/cream/light gray thread, so I imagine I'd flip over all of this color! I think the seascape would most likely suit my stash.

    ReplyDelete
  163. Both the collections look lovely and it is tempting to go or the seascape one, but also like the autumnal one. I would like to make a small whole cloth wall hanging

    ReplyDelete
  164. I would love to use the Autumn collection to do some English Paper Piecing quilt

    ReplyDelete
  165. The Seascape Collection would match perfectly with the stack of primarily blue and green fabrics I've been deliberating over.

    ReplyDelete
  166. I need to make a baby blanket for a friend. She is going to have a boy, and the seascape collection will work nicely with the blue fabric I have!

  167. I just finished piecing a quilt out of half square triangles of Essex linen in the Seascape colors. I would quilt it with the Seascape colors to bring out the texture of the Essex but show off the colors of the Seascape collection.

    ReplyDelete
  168. I am about to make a quilt with stars amd those seascape colours which would be perfect to hand quilt it.

    ReplyDelete
  169. Love those Seascapes colors! It would be fun to make a quilt in those colors and use all the different blues for quilting.

    ReplyDelete
  170. I would love to have either collection. I have never used Aurofil, so it will be an adventure for me. If I was lucky enough to win one of the collections, I would make a special project just to match/coordinate with the threads. Maybe a preemie quilt for our NICU at Brenner's Children's Hospital. Thank you for the opportunity!
