Modern Quilting Magazine issue 2 came through my letterbox today. A Tula Pink quilt is on the front cover:
And it's fun to see some other projects from online friends like this log cabin purse from Ali at Very Berry Handmade.
Jenna Sew Happy Geek's tote bag.
And a Pick up Sticks quilt by Faith at Fresh Lemons.
My Summersville dresden is in there and, in spite of everything, I'm still happy to see something I made in a magazine.

oh wow ! I am so keeping my fingers crossed that my copy makes it across the pond -
ReplyDeleteLOVE the quilt, Lynne - the clean design in b&w is simply elegant beyond words
Mine arrived today too, I had almost given up hope after all the comments on the blogasphere.
ReplyDeleteYay for small miracles and lovely stitchery x
ReplyDeleteHope that all the problems have been sorted for everyone because it looks like a great modern quilting magazine.
ReplyDeleteGot mine too!
ReplyDeleteAnyone know what's going on??
Congratulations on being in another publication!
ReplyDeleteGlad you finally got a copy
ReplyDeleteI hope things are sorted out too. Looks like a great issue.
ReplyDeleteI wish it came here to New Zealand. I'd love to make your quilt. Do you know anyone who sells it online??
ReplyDeleteOooh, lots of eye candy there - will pick up a copy if I can find one.
ReplyDeleteI was incredibly surprised to see my copy arrive this morning after everything I had read! And it is quite lovely. Very tempted to give your Dresden circle project a go...xx
ReplyDeleteReally glad you got a copy in the end! :-)
ReplyDeleteI wonder if they had another issue done after that? Lovely to get a copy and be in it in the end despite their problems
ReplyDeleteI found a copy locally yesterday and have just gone cold in the bath with it! :)
ReplyDeleteGlad you at least got your own copy, it looks good!
ReplyDeleteI'd say that I will only see it through this blog. Glad that someone got a copy of it!
ReplyDeleteI've never seen the magazine in shops. Where can you buy it? =D
ReplyDeleteMine arrived too so I'll hang on to it - glad you got yours.x
ReplyDeleteNice for your guys...congrats!!
ReplyDeleteCongrats.
ReplyDeleteIt's great to see that issue 2 is actually circulating and that folk are enjoying it and getting a chance to see what you and others have made to share - but it's sad that there will be no more ;o(
ReplyDeleteI got mine too. When i spoke to the administrator she said that their first goal had been to sell the magazine so it could continue ... so *maybe* that's what has happened. Fingers crossed.
ReplyDeleteWow, your summersville dresden is just fabulous! I think this might be the first (and only) dresden I'll try. Great job :o)
ReplyDeletenot sure how i missed this new magazine. i just subscribed to it but won't get an issue until November. Wonder if you can find these at the bookstore or news stands?
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad it arrived! Your Dresden mini is stunning!
