Could I be any prouder?

Although not Welsh myself, I have a Welsh husband and, in case you missed it, Wales won the Grand Slam today.  My son and husband went to the match and could I be any prouder of my son wearing top to toe Welsh paraphenalia.

And my husband dressed as a leek.

  1. Oh Lynne, great photos. Well done Wales, Ireland lost but I can always be happy that England won (born in London)

  2. I could tell just how proud you were of the husband dressed as a leek... ;o) It was depressing all round here, Ireland lost (I'm Irish) and so did Scotland (although they won the wooden spoon...) oh well!

  8. Next year you will have to dress them up as daffodils! Depressing weekend in our house with Ireland and Scotland both losing. Delighted for the Welsh though, sure there are lots of sore heads in Wales today!

  10. For the benefit of us on the other side of the pond (where Grand Slam in an individual Tennis award) we need some more explanation. Especially the bit about the leek!

I guess now would be a good time to ask about the "Long Suffering Welsh Husband" too.

  12. Wonderful photos. Your dh is a shoe in for a role as the bad guys in a Vegietale production of Daniel and the Lions Den, probably not why he was wearing a leek hat.

  13. I had to laugh - one of my old friends is is very proud Welshman from the valleys and we used to argue all the time at work round 6-nations time. I had to tweet him yesterday to tell him it was safe to look at the TV again as he was a bag of nerves!

  20. Haha! Showed Craig the pic (I didn't understand the leek thing but he did), he thought it looked more like a spring onion than a leek. Sheesh - there's just no pleasing some people is there?!
