In attempt to be one of the cool girls, I'm going to try to amass some of the cool fabrics the cool girls use. I'm not cool, never have been, never will be and, according to my kids, even using the word cool is uncool. I'm currently loving black and white blenders and chartreuse and white blenders and to that end have invested in these few for no other purpose currently than to up my coolness. Masquerade in black from Sew Fresh Fabrics.
This Paris Tea Panel from Eternal Maker which I have been hunting for high and low and chanced on it on their wonderful site.
This summer house fabric which is on 50% sale until tomorrow at Fat Quarter Shop using code MBRIGHT.
And this summer house fabric which is also on 50% sale until tomorrow at Fat Quarter Shop using the same code (MBRIGHT).
It's true, using the word 'cool' automatically renders you 'uncool'. I used 'man' earlier as in 'yeah cool maaaan' in a poorly timed attempt at irony. My year 8s totally did not get it. I like to think I'm so uncool, I'm cool!ReplyDelete
Girrrl! Uncool is the new COOL! You are soooo totally in right now!! Love it!ReplyDelete
welcome to the cool club. Now don't laugh hearing this from me, but someone told me I was cool last week, so you must be ultra-cool.ReplyDelete
I love black in a quilt and need to use it more.
Who wants to be cool anyway. Once you're cool, you gotta spend all your time keeping cool. Nah, not for me, can't being doing with all that. I wanna be me :)ReplyDelete
When I first discovered Eternal Maker I couldn't believe the treasures they still had in stock! I was completely mesmerised!ReplyDelete
I love those first two!ReplyDelete
If cool doesn't work try 'awesome' - that's more your style ;o)ReplyDelete
Love the first and last fabrics - are you going for a lime / black quilt, that would be a bit of a variation for you
Is it still cool to call something "sick"???ReplyDelete
I use word "cool" often, because I'm old-school and pretty proud of it:DReplyDelete
I think you are one of the coolest quilters around! Your creations amaze me- I'd love your gift of fabric combination and amazing quilts!ReplyDelete
A bairn in the sewing club I ran last half term told be I was awesome - I was ridiculously chuffed!!! I love your new 'cool' fabrics and think you're awesome ;o)ReplyDelete
fabulous, thanks for the heads up. I told my girls I wanted some lime green fabric for mothers day and they tell me they can't find any: now I will go and order some and they can reimburse me!ReplyDelete
You're not cool, you ROCK!!! :-);-) :-) I love the fabrics, especially the tea print!ReplyDelete
The fabrics are cool and so are you. Don't let your kids tell you otherwise!ReplyDelete
As long as you pronounce it 'coo-elle' you are cool!ReplyDelete
The current phrase of choice for the local 7 year olds (my son included) is 'that's totally random'. I'm still not entirely sure why - it seems to be used in pretty much any situation, good or bad. I guess it means I am seriously uncool for not 'getting' it ;o)ReplyDelete
See, I try to tell my husband that us quilters need fabric just because. Just in case. We love something, we need it. It will come in handy. Stash, man, STASH!ReplyDelete
Heh, I use cool all the time, but then most of my colleagues are older than me, they don't know it's uncool ;o)ReplyDelete
Ooh! I love all of these! Especially the Paris Tea. You are too cool! ;)ReplyDelete
lynne does the fact that you have 2022 followers not make you at least feel a little bit cool?ReplyDelete
