Lu Summers' new line for Moda, Summersville, will be in our shops in the spring. I am on my third project using it so far and have not even come close yet to tiring of it. I don't know if I ever will. Question is, which is your favourite print and which do you think the quilt shops ordered most of?
i love the alphabet! i bet that is the one that is most popular!
ReplyDeleteI love the houses, but I bet I would actually use that cross hatch one the most, so that is my guess!
ReplyDeleteThis is one of my favorite upcoming lines. I can't wait to get my hands one some, although I'm quite positive my LQSs won't be ordering it. Hopefully I'll have lots of online options!
ReplyDeleteI'm also guessing the alphabet will be the most popular.
I would use the cross hatch one more than the others. The alphabet one would be great for a child's quilt.
ReplyDeleteI love the one you show on top, but I'll have to agree on the cross hatch as well. I would use a lot of that one
ReplyDeleteI love both building print...and I would guess the alphabet?
ReplyDeleteLove love love B & W, the big buildings, the little buildings and the alphabet, but I think I'd have to access online too.
ReplyDeleteI like the cross hatch the best....and that would be my guess!
ReplyDeleteI'm not too fond of the one in the middle between the little buildings and the alphabet, but I'd be hard pressed to pick a favorite among the rest.
ReplyDeleteCross hatch?
ReplyDeleteNot sure which I like the best. I'd have to see big swatches of them all. I do get a bit frustrated that if there are 20 prints (including different colour ways) then the UK shops that stock a line will pick the same flaming 6 prints.
ReplyDeleteI love those cars and the little houses. Neat Prints.

Ohhh these are great, I would guess the cross-hatch print would be the most popular. So versatile!
ReplyDeletei like the alphabet best and can hardly wait to get some! The crosshatch is yummy, but we've already got a ton of those from Alexander Henry (farmdale, in the kitchen, pirate, fashions for home)fabric lines. the one I like the least is the trees & houses, but I think that that will be the one chosen by quilt shops.
ReplyDeleteThe little houses?
ReplyDeleteI love the three on the right. I bet the stores ordered the Heath copycat, since everyone is doing it. In this run it is perfect. Every store should at least carry the alphabet.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite is the alphabet, b ut I'm going to guess the crosshatch.
ReplyDeleteMy fave would be the houses and trees print, and I reckon the shops have ordered most of the one second from right :-)
ReplyDeleteLove the alphabet, but the fabric that will probably sell the best is the first to the left.
ReplyDeleteI love the houses, but would buy the alphabet...fabric with letters is so hard to find...
ReplyDeleteMy very favourite is the paint brush splodge marks 3rd in ... I think it looks wonderful in all the colorways ... oh my g'ness, I just typed colour with no 'u' in it ... *sigh
ReplyDeleteI bet they ordered the crosshatch but that's because it's a bloomin lovely crosshatch. I think your prediction is right and this line is going to fly ...
... tell your quilt store, people!
My favorite is the houses among the trees. I'm thinking quilt shops would order more of the crosshatch because it is a wonderful background/filler for many, many projects. The crosshatch will definitely showcase the houses among the trees!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite is the cars and buses. But I would bet the quilt shops ordered more of the alphabet one.
ReplyDeleteAw come on that's practically impossible they are all pretty awesome
ReplyDeleteCan't wait, I have used her screen print fabrics in the past, but they worked out a tad more expensive, so look forward to these. Kxx
ReplyDeleteWell, I like the one on the left and the second from the right, but the quilt shops probably ordered the ones with the buildings the most, lol.
ReplyDeleteboth of the building prints (city and suburbia) are fun prints, but the cross hatch would be so much fun to use in so many ways - can't you see binding with that!
ReplyDeleteohhhh, what a fun post lynne!
ReplyDeletei know the answer to this (being the designer an' all, haha, and the most popular is 'town' in the black (the one with the different building & cars)
can i just mention that i'm not sure how long 'heath' has been around, but i've been selling my screen printed fabrics for 4 years on etsy and 'weave' (the crosshatch) was my second design. so it isn't actually a copycat! i'd hate someone to think i'd copied anything from anywhere :)
and to all you UKers (and for that matter, anyone else!) don't worry if your LQS only has a few prints as i will be selling yardage of the whole caboodle in my etsy shop, yay!
I love the abstract one best, and I love them all. I suspect the good shops have gone for them all, however my local shop will have none, as Lu has forgotten the essential gold lamay thread and 60% polyester content!
ReplyDeleteI love the alphabet! My guess is the cross-hatchy print.
ReplyDeleteI am going with the cross hatch print. I collect black and white prints so I am sure I will be grabbing some FQs of this line.
ReplyDeleteI would say the crosshatch is the most popular but I like the alpha
ReplyDeleteThe letters, the letters…. will you tell us???
ReplyDeleteFar right (the houses) is my favourite but I`m guessing alphabet was the most stocked.
ReplyDeleteHouses and letters. Hands down.
ReplyDeleteI love black and white prints so I love all of these!! My guess is that the houses is most popular.
ReplyDeleteI like the houses and trees. I'm guessing the crosshatch is the best seller.
ReplyDeleteThe letters....hands down.
ReplyDeleteJust popping in to say hello!
ReplyDeleteI vote alphabet personally but I bet the crosshatch is more versatile. It's just fun fabric in black and white no matter which design it is.
ReplyDeleteIt's hard to guess but I"m going with the cross-hatch. I can't wait to grab some of the alphabet!
ReplyDeleteI'd say the town with all the buildings, cars and buses! Tho, I'd be happy to see them all!
ReplyDeleteI cant wait to get my hands on some, my LQS will not have any though as they do not cater to the trendys but have plenty of dull florals instead! I have some of Lu's hand screen printed fabric and they are gorgeous too.
ReplyDeleteI love the cars and busses.
ReplyDeletemmmh, I guess your favourite is the one with cars and that shops ordered most of ... the houses and trees (?) This is hard, they're all so lovely!
ReplyDeleteI'm afraid I can't pick a favourite as I love them all and I'm going to go with the letters as the one most ordered...when do we get to find out the answer?!
ReplyDeletethe one on the right hand side of your pictures (streets and cars) - at least that is my favourite...
ReplyDeleteHmmm...hard call. The LQS might order a lot of the crosshatch -- it might be the most versatile...but alphabets are also very popular. My fave is the one with small houses and trees. (swoon)
ReplyDeleteWhy is no one saying brush strokes? I am going to have to buy all of the brush strokes.
ReplyDeleteLove the designs! The most popular, I think, will be Avenue.
ReplyDeleteI love the black and white colour way ... makes me want to get out my fabric pens and fill some spot colour!
ReplyDeleteI like the cars and the houses best.
The one with the little houses and trees? They are fun!
ReplyDeleteI like the letters and the little trees and houses. I suspect stores will order mostly the trees and houses.
