And piecing and quilting and piecing and quilting ...

16 blocks, each one different, each one 25" square, piecing then quilting as you go, three types of quilting, three colours of quilting thread.  13 pieced.  9 quilted.  Keep going keep going keep going.  All words of encouragement gratefully received.

  19. I do get that the novelty wears off but I love each block you show. I love each of those skinny borders and the different looks of each "picture" as it is framed for each block. One thing, if you piece the last three blocks, you can lay them out and start joining the ones that are done, which will make it all feel much closer to the finish. With QAYG, the joining and finishing is really quick.
I am so looking forward to seeing it all together, it is just so wonderful.

  20. sometimes it does feel like a slog, doesn't it? But it's better than actually working (like down a coal mine or something, not sitting in a shop browsing blogs like I do for a living!). And it will be SO worth it when it is all done and looking stunning and everybody is exclaiming and favouriting it all over Flickr!!!

  24. The thing about being so behind in my RSS reader and only getting to read a few minutes at a time and always reading from the newest is that I didn't get to cheer you on from this point in your process. I DO get to pat you on the back though for a job well done on a big undertaking!
