For Stephanie

Stephanie, you set me the challenge of posting a picture of something I've made which I am really really proud of and will stand the test of time in terms of design, fabric choices and construction.  Please sum up my oeuvre in one word if you can.  If it's negative, I will be devastated.  And that's a promise.

  1. What is the advantage of those flat headed fancy pins over the ones with the ball at the end? I've seen those flat ones on a lot of blogs but have never used them myself.

Cute pincushion by the way :)

  2. I like the one you made me better--but then, I'm obviously biased. :)

  4. Cute pincushion Lynne! I adore pincushions. And if I may add my two cents...I really like the flat headed pins when I need to pin and cut with an acrylic ruler. The flat pins don't go wibbly wobbly {technical term} when you place the ruler on top of them. The glass head pins I love when pinning and ironing since they don't melt under the heat of the iron. I think you should be very proud of your pincushion!

  5. I never get tired of pincushions. Very colorful, not only the fabrics but also the assortment of pins.

  6. The flat head pins also work really well when you are pinning quilt tops to a quilt frame header - they allow the quilt top to roll up smoothly on the roller! And I love your pincushion!!!

  8. Jank. Just jank. Oh, Lynne why do you force me to tell the truth?! I have never seen jank quite so janky (except for my first king sized quilt, which is currently on my bed and is the quiltification of Jank). Haha, you're just awesome.

  9. I laughed my head off when I saw where you had posted this on flickr and all the comments there! Now I'm dying to know exactly what "jank" means...
