Sponsor Thank You

And a little Xmas thank you to two of my quieter sponsors - since they're not shops, they don't have news as often as the shops but they are two of my most important sponsors in that they both produce products which I would be using whether or not I was sponsored by them.  In both cases, I approached them and asked for payment in goods (Superior Titanium Topstitch needles) or thread (Aurifil threads) in return for promoting my use of their products on the blog.  Why do I use each of these and why are they my favourite? In the case of Superior Titanium Topstitch needles, the tip of the needle is coated with titanium which keeps the needle sharp and therefore useable for about five times as long as a regular needle.  Although they cost more than regular needles, they do not cost five times more and are therefore a better buy in my opinion.

In the case of Aurifil threads, I use them for a whole host of reasons.  I love that they come in four weights and so many colours.  I love that they produce less lint than many other threads and so don't clog up the machine.  I love that the bottom of the spool comes off so you can wind the end of the thread there.  I love that the spools are colour coded for weight so I can easily reach into my thread box and find the perfect weight and colour just with a quick look.

So I just wanted to say a quick thank you to both Superior Titanium Topstitch Needles and Aurifil Threads for keeping me sewing again this year!

  3. After struggling with several needle brands I saw on MassDrop the Superior Thread bundles and took advantage - so far so good, I'm liking them! Aurifil speaks for itself in my book. Glad your sponsors have set you up for a win win arrangement.

  6. Because of your posts about them, I tried the needles, and I love them! I'm also a new convert to Aurifil. I cannot believe how long a spool lasts, and there really is so much less lint. Yay all around!!
