It's December! So it's time to launch the Quilt Barn Advent Calendar. One free printable pdf quilt barn for every day of advent starting today. Print them, colour them, cut them out and make 24 little quilt barns for your mantlepiece. Each barn is 2" square and the quilt on it is 1.5" square so there's minimal colouring if you don't have much time or you can colour the whole barn if you do. The roof opens so the little boxes can be filled with Christmas treats. Click on the date below for the first barn, modelled below on my mantlepiece as coloured in by one of my elves last night:

Once you click on the link, it will take you to a google drive page. Go to the top left hand corner of the page and click either to download or print the document from there - don't print it in your browser because it will come out too small with internet scribblings all over it. You should make sure your printer is scaled to 100% and that page scaling or similar is turned off although frankly if it comes out a bit big or a bit small, it really doesn't matter. Don't print out the picture in this post as it is only a screenshot of the pdf and not the pdf itself. I'll be looking out for your barn quilts in my Flickr group, on Instagram (#barnquiltalong) or in pictures in emails to me if you have time.
But what about you? What have you worked on this month? Any finishes? Maybe a mosaic of everything you've been doing? One favourite thing? Link up at the bottom of this post to share what you've been working on. If you do link up, how about visiting at least four of the other blogs who link up - two above you and two below you - and stopping to leave a comment as well as visiting back anyone who visits you. As always here's the button to grab.

Nooooo, it's still November. For, like, at least another 35 minutes ;o)
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to doing this... it won't print from the ipad though, will it?
ReplyDeleteThose barn boxes could keep three people quiet this afternoon while I tackle/fail at curtain making!!!
ReplyDeleteThose boxes looks really cute and fun idea.
ReplyDeleteI made the first barn from paper because I don't have any card handy. It works fine, although probably won't last more than a year - posted it on the #barnquitalong on Instagram.
ReplyDeleteI love the barn boxes, I wonder if you considered releasing the quilt blocks as a sampler to go with the barns?
ReplyDelete:-( I run a Mac… my pdf was only 1/2"…. any advice?
