This month in the Amitie BOM The Gypsy wife, we have two blocks to make. I've made the blocks exactly as directed although I did swap the fabrics around a tiny bit. These blocks are a great way to practise core piecing skills like half square triangles, quarter square triangles, nine patches, paper piecing and matching seams.
I love your star! Adn I agree with you on the other block ...
ReplyDeleteAnd I was going to say just what Betty said!
ReplyDelete... yeah, and me! sorry to be so unoriginal!
ReplyDeleteFor me the Kaffe-s in the second block make it a little too 'primary' BUT the more I look at it the more I like its grungy industrial vibe ...
I think they all capture the Amitie spirit!
ReplyDeleteI was admiring this original quilt at Amitie the other day (jealous yet?, sorry to be a tease!), I adore anything Jen makes, cannot wait to see all your blocks together. xo
ReplyDeleteThey will all look amazing together, no matter what that lot say!!
ReplyDeleteAll the blocks are wonderful! Can't wait to get my first shipment!
ReplyDeleteVery nice, very nice! I was sorely tempted but sat on my hands. I also love anything Jen does. Have fun!
ReplyDeleteI love that gray dotted cheater print in Amitie's version of the first block, that looks like hand quilting. Oh wait, that's not a cheater, it's actually really hand quilted. Are the fabric designers watching?
ReplyDeleteGreat blocks! The colours are awesome together =D
ReplyDeleteI think they're going to look great in the quilt - when will we get to see all your blocks so far?!
