Collecting cool fabrics

In attempt to be one of the cool girls, I'm going to try to amass some of the cool fabrics the cool girls use.  I'm not cool, never have been, never will be and, according to my kids, even using the word cool is uncool.  I'm currently loving black and white blenders and chartreuse and white blenders and to that end have invested in these few for no other purpose currently than to up my coolness.   Masquerade in black from Sew Fresh Fabrics.

This Paris Tea Panel from Eternal Maker which I have been hunting for high and low and chanced on it on their wonderful site.

  1. It's true, using the word 'cool' automatically renders you 'uncool'. I used 'man' earlier as in 'yeah cool maaaan' in a poorly timed attempt at irony. My year 8s totally did not get it. I like to think I'm so uncool, I'm cool!

Love the first and last fabrics - are you going for a lime / black quilt, that would be a bit of a variation for you

  15. The current phrase of choice for the local 7 year olds (my son included) is 'that's totally random'. I'm still not entirely sure why - it seems to be used in pretty much any situation, good or bad. I guess it means I am seriously uncool for not 'getting' it ;o)

  16. See, I try to tell my husband that us quilters need fabric just because. Just in case. We love something, we need it. It will come in handy. Stash, man, STASH!
