Going to Harrogate

Anyone going to the knitting and stitching show at Harrogate next week?  I'm going with Katy, Brioni and Justine.  Sadly our fifth partner in crime, Mandy, is unable to come with us so the gang won't quite all be there.

I'll be stopping at stand B240 to see The Button Company and Eternal Maker who sell fabulous modern fabrics, buttons and also my thread of choice Aurifil.

I'll also be stopping at stand B575 to see my local quilt shop, Quiltessential, run by Ann and Darren, the nicest LQS owners in the world, and that's no exaggeration. Look at this quilt Darren designed and made.

I'll stop at B245 - Oakshott shot cottons because their stand is always inspiring and I adore their shot cotton bundles.

And I'll stop at B692 - Sunflower Fabrics because Maggie is a hoot, her quilts are beautiful and she puts together fabulous Liberty and other fabric packs.

Are you going to be there?  Let me know so we can bump into each other.  And what stands will you be making for?

  2. Please also come to stand E9 - the West Yorkshire Federation of Women's Institutes. I'm helping out on the stand on Thursday and on Sunday I'm going to "do" the show properly with my mum.
    Hopefully see you there!

  5. Enjoy it Lynne. I was at the show in Dublin last week. I loved the Oakshott stand and bought the fabric and pattern to make a laptop bag. My daughter bought the kit tomake a sunflower bag.

  8. I'm sorry I'm going to miss it this year, but I just haven't got the cash, or a lift up to Yorkshire. Enjoy.

  9. I went up to London to the K & S show in London a couple of years ago and loved it....and spent far too much money! I had to buy a wheeled trolley bag to get it back to Dorset!

  11. I really wish I could be there. Unfortunately, the shop I work in is having a stall there so I have to man the fort while everyone else goes to Harrogate to have fun :(

I love the Oakshott cottons. I'm using them in my he-a-long quilt which is taking forever!

  12. Sadly I won't be going, but I am going to the craft and hobby show at the NEC in February, this is a trade show so not open to the general public, but if you hear of anyone (amongst your vast network of contacts) that is coming to that please let me know as I would love to meet up with a quilty pal there!
