A few nice things happened today and yesterday. Firstly my Dead Simple Palette Quilt bundle arrived from Sew Fresh Fabrics so I can start cutting into it and get going on my Dead Simple Quilt. I emailed Peg and Becca this pic.
And here is the wonderful and fabulous and delicious bundle they have put together for me which I love so much I am going to carry it around with me today as if I was a weird fabric-obsessed person.
Then finally Etchings yardage came into stock at the Fat Quarter Shop. I've been stalking the FQS for a whole month now and instantly clicked to buy this for the back and binding of my hexalong quilt.
This for the framing of the hexagons on the front of my hexalong quilt.
And this bundle by accident as I hadn't planned to buy it and have no concrete plans for it other than to carry it around with me for a few days.
And then I want to have a little self indulgent moment as yesterday two milestones were reached. This one on Google Friend Connect.
And finally a birthday present arrived from my fabulous friend Krista Poppyprint but that deserves a post all of its own, not to be stuck down the bottom of this one so tune back soon for gift envy.

I should start too and I will soon..just need to put one more binding on and then I will be ready!
I love the Etchings fabric and after living in Europe 7 years, and having what seemed like every single visitor wanting to go to Paris, I feel like I know many of the streets of Paris by heart (at least those near the Eiffel Tower). Gotta scoot out there and get me some of that fabric. Like right now!!!!
ReplyDeleteGreat news about your milestones. You're great, so I can understand why they've been reached. Congratulations!
Congratulations on the milestones!
ReplyDeleteAlso, great fabrics. I especially love your "accidental" purchase!

ReplyDeleteLove that etchings fabric - I need to get a wriggle on and make some more hexies. Going on holiday back at the end of July really messed up my stride with that! I'd hoped I'd have a bedside quilt top by now at least!
ReplyDeleteI've been stalking that Etchings line, too. I really want some, but I'm on a fabric diet at the moment. :(
ReplyDeleteCongrats! I wonder how many Yahoo followers, like me, you have? I'm anxious to see yout Dead Simple Quilt in progress.

ReplyDeleteI am relieved your fabric made it!. yay, let the cutting begin.
Yay for your milestones! And I am loving your fabric bundle!
ReplyDeleteDo they do that Paris fabric in large pieces (don't know what the quilting term is for a large piece - a cheesy quiche? a tasty flan?) I'd like to get say a metre square and frame it if the pattern doesn't repeat. I do miss living there, sniff.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad your fabrics arrived! I love seeing the fabrics that were chosen next to the color swatch. Such a pretty bundle!
ReplyDeleteFantastic! And lovely fabrics :)
