Too busy to take on a very quick, easy and fun palette quilt?
Telling yourself you don't need another new project. Well let me tell you, resistance is futile.
Take a look at this colour palette site my mate Corey Little Miss Shabby just wrote about in her Dead Simple QAL post.
Take a look at these pictures and tell me you don't want to make a quilt with one of those palettes.
You crack me up! I have some habitat fat quarters, and was thinking that using the 4 fqs plus the saturated, coordinating colors would be great for the dead simple quilt along... even if it breaks the "solids only" rules. The color combos really are irresistible! :)
ReplyDeleteResistance of that cake is futile! Where's the nearest bakery? I would love to make one of these, but I have no solids and my local shops don't sell them and if I order any more fabric online, I may find myself single and alone on Christmas morning.
ReplyDeleteStop it! I have plans, just not immediate ones ;o)
ReplyDeleteha ha ... I could spend a year just playing with the colours!
ReplyDeleteYou are right resistance is futile... you are like a siren to all of us poor sailors of the stitch ...
You're right... I want to do this... haha. Though I think I'll also be breaking the solids only rule!
ReplyDeleteAhhh, last photo may just get me!!!
ReplyDeleteBog right off!!!
ReplyDeleteYou temptress! Do you have any idea how much I have on my plate right now, yet somehow I still want to add this, too?! Dang you! I'm in. Going to Design Seeds right now to look around....
ReplyDeleteYou gave it an honest try, but I'm still resisting. As it is, I'm procrastinating by just stopping to read your blog. Now, back to my unfinished projects!
ReplyDeleteHi there!
ReplyDeleteGRRRRRRH You have a lot to answer for!!
So I was sitting with a lovely glass of chilled white wine in one hand, laptop in another & then I saw your blog entry & immediately I knew.. I could resist it no more... count me in... I LOVE the cool colour palette! I showed it to my husband (who is sitting watching the XFactor) & he immediately said... wow! I Love this (& turned his attention back to the XFactor!)
So count me in!
jeez woman, stop forcing me to shop for more fabric! Unless you're offering to identify palate colours in Kona language for me...
ReplyDeleteOh, I don't know about the project, but I want that cake. For my birthday this year. Please.
ReplyDeleteI've said it before but I'll say it again - get ye behind me...........was there a definite solids only rule??
ReplyDeleteOMG Lynne you are certainly twisting my arm, these colour palettes are simply divine!!! xo
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure about the QAL but I'd love one of those cakes. It's adorable
ReplyDeleteI love the palettes you have presents. I'm still holding strong on the sidelines.
ReplyDeleteHee Hee!--Glad I could help some more people spend some quality fabric money! =) I seriously could make a quilt out of just about every palette on that site--I love them all!
ReplyDeleteOh man! The only one I can resist is the last one. I just can't get into pastels! Live long and prosper! Oh wait! Wrong series!
ReplyDeleteHugs!
Stop it right now! Do you know how much trouble I had picking my palette? Now you go and tempt me these amazing colours! Nope...I made my choices and tucked them away awaiting cutting instructions. Oh,oh! This was supposed to be solids only? I'm in trouble .
ReplyDeletePlay nice Lynne, I have far too many projects on the go!
ReplyDeleteSuch an enabler! I love it!
ReplyDeleteDo you know how many hours of sleep I've lost cause of that design seed site?? Yup....all your fault. I'm just saying,
ReplyDeleteHahahhaaa...very cheeky Lynne. Although I can't quite picture you as Borg. Each blogger I come across debating over the Dead Simple QAL I encourage to Join the Dead Simple Side!
ReplyDeleteI'm trying SO hard to resist. So many things I need to get done. You're making it pretty difficult to keep resisting...
ReplyDeleteyou are tempting me in the worst way. but i must persevere. i'm determined to get my WIP list into the single digits by the new year...
ReplyDeleteI never thought I'd be a softy palette kinda girl, but that last photo is positively swoony!
ReplyDeleteDear Lynne
ReplyDeleteI am a new follower of your lovely blog thanks to your guest blogging at
Madame Samms. The quilt looks great and I'm going to think on it, I love the idea of solids. I think I feel my arm being slightly twisted here.lol
