ok just posted an English Paper Piecing tutorial here http://bearpawandbearpaw.blogspot.com/2011/07/english-paper-piecing-tutorial.html though I am sure most of you know what you are doing! And managed to get the new name in!
Ooooooh! Just what I need to take on holiday with me. Been thinking about trying hexies out, so that'll be another thing ticked off this year's to do list! Big yes from me.
How many QALs can one person sign up to? Oh well I will try to tag along as I am enjoying FW so much but must finish my other hand pieced project quickly then.
The timing might not be right for me (yoyo-ing at the moment) but I will enjoy everyone else's progress and inspiration and when I'm done my yoyo quilt ... it will be hexies for me!
Haha on the name. Well it's not summer here but I could really use a good project for when I'm watching auzzie masterchef every night now my sewing machine has switched rooms, and I've always wanted to try hexies so count me in... Xx
tee hee ... can we do some witchy spells too ... ??

ReplyDeleteI've never worked with hexies but I would love to learn how... is this paper-piecing? Count me in :)
ReplyDeleteLynne, I have an old hexagon project {my first attempt at real piecing} that has been collecting dust for a few years.
ReplyDeleteI may have to dust it off, join in & finally complete the blocks....no promises about getting it all together, though!! LOL
I might join in...........depends I do have a lot going on right now.
ReplyDeleteThank goodness!! I wanted to, but I have been intimidated. Now I can do it with friends help!. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteOkay, you have me curious. Sounds interesting :)
ReplyDeleteYay! I've been wanting to learn, and I will have many opportunities in the near future for time spent on a portable project. Can't wait to hear more!
ReplyDeleteUmmmm maybe?
ReplyDeleteFun QAL although I might need to take a break from hexagons for a bit. I think I'm worn out after my last quilt.

ReplyDeleteI'd love to do some hexxies. I'm in.
ReplyDeleteI've got around 900 of the things (hexagons) made and lost steam, I'm up for a project to finish them up!
ReplyDeleteI'm in. It will be fun. I made about 30 a couple of years ago but doing them alone was no fun.
ReplyDeleteWould love to try! I need some hand sewing for the beach and September travel!
