Rosemarie's Blocks

When I had the dolce giveaway, one entry did catch my eye which was from Emedoodle who said she would use the fabrics to make a quilt for hew neice who has cancer.
Then last night, on the Flickr page for Erick's quilt, Emedoodle left a comment asking whether there would be any leftover blocks for her to make a quilt for her neice.  So I flickrmailed her suggesting we start a quilt for Rosemarie - after all a four year old girl might not want blue and grey blocks on her quilt.  When I got up this morning, Emedoodle had already started the Flickr group asking for 9" pink / purple cross or square in square blocks to make Rosemarie a quilt.  Here is her blog post and here is the flickr link if anyone wants to join in.  I made these two little Kokeshi lady blocks who have very politely left their shoes at the front door.

  7. These are adorable! I echo the statement that I love the shoes at the door. I spent a month in Japan when I was 18, and got heck once for forgetting to remove my shoes...extremely rude in Japan, yet pointing and the middle finger are no problem. Go figure.
I may have to pick up some of this fabric, for nostalgia's sake!
