This week on Instagram

So my biggest news this week on Instagram was that I finally got off my fat **** to put a quilt pattern for sale.  Why this has taken me so long, I really don't know but I feel like this is just the beginning.  My shop is over at Payhip and they are great because they deal with the whole issue of VAT on EU digital downloads which has been worrying all of us in this field for so long.  the shop is at http://payhip.com/lilysquilts and I hope to be filling it up with new quilt, pillow and block projects on a regular basis.  For now there is just one pattern, The Schoolhouse Quilt.  The next quilt up in the shop will be the quilt I used to call The Youtube quilt or but now am calling The Tube Quilt.

The other big news this week, apart from the consumption of excessive amounts of chocolate which made me wake up in the night feeling a bit queasy, was the publication of a lovely bookazine rounding up lots of lovely projects from the first year of Love Patchwork & Quilting.  Called Weekend Quilting, the issue has a beautiful now project on the front and lots of lovelies inside including my Tutti Frutti Quilt

I had to pick eight favourites from this issue as there were too many gorgeous projects including the four below by Jo Avery from My Bearpaw, Rebecca from Bryan House Quilts, Judith from Needles and Lemons and Katarina Roccella from Art Gallery Fabrics.

The second four were by Hadley from Flying Blind On A Rocket Cycles, Jo Avery (again), Holl de Groot and Jo Avery (yet again).

I hope you've all had a lovely Easter!

  1. Oh, I haven't seen the Weekend Quilting, going to have to check that out! I am also like you and needing to work up a number of quilt patterns, but deciding on the best way/place to sell them through is my stalling point at the moment....UGH!

  2. Yep, I feel the same--need to write up some quilt patterns, but keep stalling. Is there a program you use to help speed up the process? My biggest hurdle is spending the time to write them!

  3. You'll soon have a full-to-bursting pattern shop!!

P.S. I'm fairly confident in betting that you're not at all broad in the beam...fat a*se, my a*se!

  4. You clearly need to increase your training schedule for chocolate eating ;0
I have a special request... can you put your comic book pattern into your payhip shop, soon? My sister in law has special requested a super hero quilt for the nephew, and she posted about a bajillion pics of one quilt... and guess which one it was??!! XX!
