The Very Hungry Caterpillar Quilt

I designed this Very Hungry Caterpillar quilt for Makower earlier this year and the pattern is now available as a free download on their website and you can find it here.

In fact you get two quilt patterns in one as we decided to make the quilt reversible so there is a second pattern to make the quilt back using the large scale panel prints.  The pattern is quite detailed but in fact it is really just a simple improv process of fussy cutting the picture fabrics, framing with skinny strips, framing with wider strips then framing again with skinny strips so you don't really need to follow the pattern to the letter if you don't want to.  And if anyone does go ahead and make one of these, please make sure you email me to show me!

  1. Brilliant! I used some hungry caterpillar panels to make my kids some cushions and they love them! Reversible quilts are great!

  5. Brilliant! I have some hungry caterpillar fabric but I never did anything with it and now my little ones are too old for it! I must put it to good use for someone else though. It's a great pattern.
