Hand Quilted With Love by Sarah Fielke

From the moment I spotted the front cover of Sarah Fielke's new book, Hand Quilted With Love, I knew I wanted to make it.

In fact there are a lot of beautiful quilts in this book I'd like to make and - BONUS FOR ME - you don't have to hand quilt them.  There is a real mix of simpler and more advanced quilts as well as a mix of quilting styles - such as this incredible pieced and appliquéd medallion quilt ...

... this beautiful and simple brick quilt ...

... or this wonderful scrap buster.

And this post wouldn't be complete with photos of my version of the front cover of the book the "made to measure" quilt which I finished yesterday.

My version is called Tutti Frutti because it reminds me of packs of fruit sweets we had when we were little.

I picked fruity, bright, fresh citrussy colours for this quilt.

And framed them in blacks, creams and greys to stop it from rioting out of control.
