Well if you do live in London, you might be interested in the new business my sister has set up, launching today. Called The Kitchen Table Florist, it pretty much says what it does on the tin.
She is a stylish contemporary florist, working from her kitchen table at her home in North London.
She will be taking commissions for flowers for parties, events and for homes and offices.
She will also be running adult workshops designed for absolute beginners who have an interest in learning how to create simple, stylish arrangements for the home.

And she will be available to book for children's parties where children create something pretty and fun from fresh flowers.
There's a posh photo of her on her website but I prefer this one of her painting my daughter's face as Tigger for Halloween last week.
So if you're interested in learning more about floristry, in having stylish and contemporary flower arrangements for your home or office, in a children's party or (my favourite) in having one of Tania's stunning Christmas wreaths, head on over to her website and take a look around.
I love her website design, floral style and party/workshop ideas and hope it's a massive success! Good luck, Tania!
ReplyDeleteP.S. Lynne, I think you've got serious competition for the Christmas card contest!
Good luck with her new venture. Off to explore the web site now.
ReplyDeleteMakes mental note to set up stylish website and popular blog.
ReplyDeleteWow - your sister is a talented lady! We have just had our eldest's birthday but next year a flower party would be perfect. I will bookmark this lovely site right now!
ReplyDeleteIt's a tough market - florists are in competition with supplies available from supermarkets. But folk don't realise that what you get in supermarkets is a poor cousin to what good florists like your sister use to create their masterpieces. I hope that things work out for her in her new venture.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely stunning work...just on her blog and website...really beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI don't live in London, but I have a friend with a similar business, and she has a couple of good clients that are restaurants- maybe your sister could approach some restaurants?
ReplyDeleteI thought your sister lived in Paris. Is this another sister? Her florals are lovely and one of my other passions. If I ever need to send any of my London friends a floral arrangement I know who to contact.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea. The arrangements are beautiful. Best wishes for much success to her!
ReplyDeleteoooh, she's near me! How handy!
ReplyDeleteWow! Only a very creative person would think of birthday parties to create beautiful flower arrangements. Before Mother's Day, school, church, or scout groups could create gifts for their mothers. Guys could create floral arrangements for Valentine's Day--much more personal than just picking up a bouquet of roses. Very cool!
ReplyDeleteI loved fresh flowers, so if I lived in London, I would certainly support her business. Still, I wish her much success.
Oooh don't you look like.. sisters!
ReplyDeleteWhat beautiful arrangments! Best of luck to her :)
ReplyDeleteSuch beautiful compositions! Best of luck to your talented sister!

ReplyDeleteI'd love to take her class - wish I weren't an ocean away!
