Getting ready for London

Yesterday I was busy getting ready my class samples for the Fat Quarterly London retreat where I am teaching paper piecing.  And today I got a package in the post with more getting-readyness.  the package came from Jo, known on Flickr as Man City due to her being a supporter of a team I am not allowed to mention in this house given that one of my sons is a dedicated follower of Man Utd.  Last week Jo sent me this tag which will be attached to my London Retreat bag.

And then in this morning's post, there was this which I will probably attach to my handbag or luggage.

A pincushion which will come with me to London for pinning emergencies.

A spare one which I am going to sew onto a t-shirt for the retreat - that's how classy I am.

And my favourite of all, this fantabulous nametag with its own London lanyard which will be worn proudly all retreat and probably for a long time after.

Thank you so much Jo, you have totally and utterly made my day.

  1. I love them all - what a fantastic partner!! I've just been reading lots of the comments in the FQ London 2012 group and got really excited about how close it is - I'm not going but I'm still looking forward to it...sad, huh?!
