Sneak Peak

Here's a little sneak peak of my next Moda Bake Shop quilt.  70" X 90", which is the size I make most of my quilts.  Made from A Stitch in Color, a new Moda line which previewed at Quilt Market, it is colour mixed with colour and then a bit more colour added for good measure.  If you like A LOT of colour, you'll like this one.  If you like to wear sunglasses when looking at a quilt, you'll love this one.  As you know, I am very scared of colour but I confess I do love all these bright wild colours jangling together and making me feel like I'm not in grey, damp, drizzly England but in the Copa, Copa Cabana, the hottest spot north of Havana, she lost her music, she lost her Tony now she's lost her life.  Wow, such a happy song ends in tragedy.

  5. I can't wait to see the whole thing! I don't tend to like tons of color for things I keep and wear or live with, but I think it is a blast to sew with them every now and then.

  16. Now it's a disco, but not for Lily
Still in the dress she used to wear, faded feathers in her hair
She sits there so refined, and drinks herself half-blind
She lost her youth and she lost her Tony
    Now she's lost her mind!

Just kidding! I will be anxiously awaiting your colorful creation!!

  24. These are great colors for boys' quilts. As a matter of fact, these are the colors I typically use in boys quilts, including the one I'm working on now. I'm anxious to see the entire quilt. By the way, it's a little cloudy and gloomy here today, too.
