Quilting around the world

My mate Angela over at Cut To Pieces (talented, lovely blogger, if you don't know her blog, you won't regret taking a good look around over there) is doing a series of posts about people's different quilting lives around the world and yesterday she featured some Brit quilter called Lynne something or other.  There are a few pictures of the stuff she's made and a picture of her in a supermarket cardigan (gasp).  She's not really my kind of quilter and to be honest I don't think she's that good but you know she probably tries her best I expect.  If you fancy reading the post, it's right here.

  1. HAhahahahaha I read your blog post and was aghast that you would say something non-positive (so unlike you!) about someone else. And then I clicked on the link and though "what are you talking about, these are GORGEOUS, and I feel like I've seen them before" and then I actually read the post and noticed the NAME of the featured blogger.

    Hahahahahaha Nice.

  2. You got me too. I would have to disagree with you and say quilting is very popular in the UK. You should have seen the variety of quilts at the Festival of Quilts last month. And I belong to a 70 strong guild in little Jersey Not bad for a little island.

  11. Loved it! As I will be moving to London within a year or two, I see that I need to extend my stash, since fabric is so expensive over there. :) Thanks for the good read and all the great ideas!

  25. I have only just read this think talking in accents must be genetic. I have key-words to get me into the accent. For Northern Ireland it is 'Suzuki 250'. Works every time. And for South African, 'President Van der Merwe'. Oh and talking of Dolly, she was asked what she wanted people to say about her in 100 years time and she replied 'wow, she looks good for her age'. Bless her fake boobs.
