The quilt I am making for my sister's friend Carla is finally all in one piece and just needs one more row of quilting and then binding but I was so excited to finally get it in one piece, I had to take a photo - it's on the lawn and I was taking this from the attic - it's a BIG quilt.
Yummy! It's looking fabulous! I don't think I could find a big enough piece of grass to lay a quilt on that hasn't got rabbit holes/rabbit poo or ants in it.
ReplyDeleteWow! It is big...and so fun!
ReplyDeleteGreat quilt! I am sure your sisters friend will love it.
ReplyDeleteI love how this turned out!

This look so fantastic! I really like your FMQ on the read and the straight line on the grey makes it pop - looks just like a bunch of picture frames hanging on a wall, love it!
ReplyDeleteFlippers! that quilt is as huge as it is fabulous!
ReplyDeleteI'm sure that it will make Carla very happy 4 ever. the end.
BTW. Your comment about how you stung Sting in your youth and he didn't even know......my sides are now split and it's all your fault....
it really is a work of "art"! She is so lucky to have you to make a quilt for her.
ReplyDeleteThis is amazing! It looks great. I love the layout you finally decided on too. She will love it, I am sure.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on getting to this point. I can kinda guess how big it is if you needed to go to the attic to take a pic, but do you know what the rough dimensions are? And how do you handle such a large quilt come quilting time?
ReplyDeleteDid passing planes think they were flying over some new town!?
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely Fabulous, Eddy!!
ReplyDeleteoh wait! you're blonde and I'm brunette, so I guess I'm Eddy and you're Patsy!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! Carla's one lucky lady! Jxo
ReplyDeleteoh Lynne. You are so talented.
ReplyDeleteIt's a big BEAUTIFULL quilt :)
ReplyDeleteMy goodness! When do you eat and sleep? I much prefer large quilts over small ones. When so much love and effort goes into a project, I want it to be both beautiful and functional. Carla's a lucky girl.
ReplyDeleteLove this!!!
ReplyDeleteThat really is a stunner ! Wonderful.
ReplyDeleteThis is a rather wondrous thing!
ReplyDeleteI love the color of the sashing. It's a gorgeous quilt. Oh, and I loved Aneela's use of the word "flippers"!
ReplyDeleteYour quilt is amazing! I love how you framed those prints like photographs. :)
ReplyDeleteThat is gorgeous Lynne!
ReplyDeleteShould it be on the bed or on the wall! Wherever Carla will have her own little gallery...
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! I love it!
ReplyDeleteIt's an absolute feat! Way to go Lynne. A project of this size would have sunk me for sure.
ReplyDeleteWow you sure did a nice job with the piecing and the quilting of this quilt. I love it. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteIt's wonderful - she's going to love it and it's well worth all your hard work!
ReplyDeleteAre you didn't take a photo of it from a satellite in outer space? It looks about the size of Florida.
ReplyDeleteI hope you stand back and just beam at how great it is turning out.
