My kids call my blogland and flickrland friends "imaginary" friends because I don't really know them. Well maybe they're right and maybe they're wrong but here's my friend Krista Poppyprint, in the retreat she organised holding a bee block I made for my friend Krista lolablueocean who went to the retreat and took it with her (not sure why) and they sent me this photo. And it warmed the cockles of my heart. Makes the world seem a little bit smaller.
Happy friend and happy block :)
ReplyDeleteIndeed, she looks pretty real to me...and happY!!!!
ReplyDeleteKrista looks very real to me, and I still love that block, I can understand why Krista lolablueocean would take it everywhere with her!
ReplyDeleteHere I am, in the flesh, and I can assure you that there's enough of that to prove I am indeed, real!
ReplyDeleteK2 (as my husband was forced to refer to lolablueocean with both of us in the house) brought all of her circle bee blocks to share for show and tell. I just had to fondle this prize winning beauty by one of my bestest blog buddies and confidantes, Lynne!!
goodness, I really need to work on that cheesy grin.
ReplyDeleteimaginary friends! LOL! My real life friends have a hard time understanding my attachment to my "virtual" friends in the land of Flickr. It's ok though! I need someone to understand my crazy fabric addiction! :)
ReplyDeleteHa! I'm pretty sure that almost all of my friends are imaginary then. ;)
ReplyDeleteThat sounds about right! it does feel odd at times pooring over emails and flickr! But lots of fun :)
ReplyDeleteMy family and other friends do not get my online life at all but i know it is a very happy place to be!
ReplyDeleteShe's definitely real, and you were there in spirit with that lovely block, Lynne. I am so happy to have seen it in person.
ReplyDeleteI totally second what Kerry said. Online friends have become a very important part of my life! Krista's grin + your super amazing block = ♪(*^^)o∀*∀o(^^*)♪
ReplyDeleteImaginary blog/flickr friends are the best! Great picture.
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweet post :) Here's to friends of all kinds!
ReplyDeleteWoohoo for imaginary friends!!
ReplyDeleteI value my online friends...really. is so nice to chat with folks with common interests...just wish they were closer for a coffee...lol.....like the block too
ReplyDeleteI actually sort of like having an undercover life...makes me feel mysterious....All kidding aside I'm quite surprised by the connection I feel to so many of you wonderful quilters in blogland.
ReplyDeleteHow fun. And your block coordinates with the wall color even :)
ReplyDeleteI love love love my imaginary friends ... without you I'd still be sewing badly and giving up on projects half way through ...:)
ReplyDeleteWait - we aren't "real" friends? How can imaginary friends send each other mail? Did you tell your children you are also queen of the quilting bee blocks too?
ReplyDeletehaha, small world! And such a fun picture to send.
ReplyDeleteI am so glad to hear someone else's family thinks they are a little "blog crazy", too. Nice to meet friends around the world through blogland. I love this block. So sunny and happy!
ReplyDeleteThat is really sweet. It must have just made your day.
ReplyDeleteQuilty 'friends' are a special bunch - and it's just great to share
ReplyDeleteI also know from fact that it is a small world sometimes it's amazing you can just be around the corner on another continent.
The relationships we devellop online or face to face are all real..... the thing is, if two blog worlds friends met in real life, they would be real friends.... since the relationship is real.
ReplyDeleteNah, I don't think we are imaginary friends. My husband calls my bloggy friends my "pen pals." Friendships like this have been going on for ages. But now they are via computer and more "real time." And awesome!
ReplyDelete(Pinches arm.) Ow! Yep, I'm real.
ReplyDeletePeople gasped at the retreat when this was shown - I was one of the gaspers - its beautiful
ReplyDeleteEver since you changed the layout/font/sample somthing :D, I cannot see the picture from your latest post in my blogroll. You should come by and check how wierd it is to see a post about immaginary friends with a non existing foto :))))))))))
